The video is about 45 minutes long but very well worth it. I would recommend it as well invested time in learning about the capabilities of the human brain.

For those who do watch it, the case of the man who was struck by a baseball on the left side of head reminds me of the old saying "knock some sense into you".
The potential is there for any of us but the hard part is finding that tricky little switch.

Something to watch.

That would be cognitive recalibration.

This is very profound at just what the human brain is capable of. Learning to speak and understand Icelandic in one week is absurd.

Probably not in our lifetime but I would forsee in the future the ability to tap into this part of the brain. It would definitely solve the problem of college students' debts if they only needed to go to college for a couple months.

Unfortunately for the majority of us the train has already passed through the station for any chance of us tapping onto this power. In the examples given the change all occurred in youth while the brain is still developing. I think it is around the age of 25 that the brain starts it long slow road of deterioration.

If all it took was a hit to the head to trigger that switch then I would sound like a guy at the Black Jack table yelling "Hit Me, Hit Me, Hit Me."
