I'm good either way. 12 hour is still slightly easier though.

i prefer writing midnight-1259am as 2400-2459 to piss off the jacked up military types i work with, but i have no real preference.

There's far worse to get saddened about: "Ask these kids to do some quick arithmetic with pencil & paper, or in their head"!

You will be shocked! (and really saddened) :(

Then tell them to: "Plot a driving route using this paper map"!

And you'll likely cry ...

Ask them to read the Declaration of Independence or Constitution in its original form...and they will respond, "But I don't know how to read cursive."

And if they answer in written form, it will be "IDK how read cursive."

THAT WILL make you cry!

I prefer 24 hour... partly because it dicks with most people I know.
24hr format for me.

12. I ignore anyone when they use 24.

You're right. "It's 17 o'clock somewhere" just doesn't have the same ring to it.
My-face-when I work nights and buy my liquor in the am like a hobo.

20 years in the Army got me accustomed to the 24 hr clock. It also makes the most sense.
