Where are the black spokespersons?

Yup, we need a modern Martin Luther King who will again say "peace brothers no violence -- and that includes obeying the local police".

"I have a dream -- that all across this land -- minorities will stop resisting arrest and getting killed for it which starts rioting everywhere and just more violence ... ."

Not mocking him, just saying ... .

Thank you for understanding my point.

Maybe you should stop insulting people just because you don't agree with them. HOW ABOUT THAT?

I did not insult you. I pointed out that when presented with black leaders doing exactly what you want, you reject them as the wrong black leaders. The issue is not that the message is not out there, nor that the appropriate people are not spreading the message, it is that you reject anything that does not fit with what you have already decided is true.

Not quite. First, that Chris Rock video is years old. Not a new message...a comedy schtick in response to DWB...not in response to people being shot and killed of late. I find it peculiar that JJ and AS make their living agitating and promoting racism within the black community. But when they have a chance to really make a difference? They choose only to wring their hands and gnash their teeth. Hands up. Don't shoot.

So you don't care about black leaders, you care about Jesse Jackson and AL Sharpton. Two different things there. Why did you not say that in the first place?

So Chris Rock is a black leader? Really? Is Bill Cosby one, too?

Why are they not suggesting to their flock that they respect LEOs and fight their battles in the courtroom??

There's no press coverage, emotional outrage, or money in it.

Every bit as much as the two you choose, maybe more. Personally, I do not have a leader. Do you? If not, why do you assume that others have one? And why do you pick those leaders for them, based on your criteria?

Are David Duke and Matthew Hale the white peoples' leaders?

I'm curious as to why black people (and pretty much ONLY black people) are supposed to be beholden to "leaders," who are then castigated when they don't swoop into Gotham like Batman and tell their flock how to act. If I were a black person, I'd be offended as **** if someone told me Al Sharpton was my "leader." **** Al Sharpton.

Of course, that doesn't stop certain "black leaders" from exploiting that status to the tune of a lot of dollars. But that's somewhat beside the point.

When white people act up, nobody asks where the white leaders are. On the rare occasion some murderous ass turns out to be Asian (those folks have their **** together), nobody complains when George Takei or the Dalai Lama doesn't say something. Do we really have that little respect for the black community that we demand certain people (appointed either by themselves or us) act as spokesmen?

Can white people sign up to be a black spokesperson? Because I really got some great ideas for the next all black people meeting the OP seems to think exist.

I heard Drake is performing.

So a prominant black entertainer and local leaders is not who you think of as a black spokesperson, all you can think of is Sharpton and Jackson? Maybe the problem is with you...

Obviously not by the standards of Main Stream Media which is the supreme creator of "black spokespersons"_

Without MSM recognition; entertainers and local yokels are just halftime cheerleaders for Team Black__Go Team!

I sense that you are subtly saying that black leaders are anointed by non-black people. Not so. Not by a long shot. Black leaders are chosen by the black community. Not every single person, of course, but enough. A solid number of black people virtually worship people like Sharpton, and openly refer to them as their community leaders. Not sure if I would say a majority, but certainly a sizable and significant percentage.

When pointing this out, other groups are only responding to what already is, and are mocking it, because as you say, no other groups "need" leaders in the same manner.

Any evidence this is actually true? What's a "solid number"?

Oh look, projection. We don't let the media pick our black leaders, we don't have any. Black kids aren't showing up dressed like Ben Carson, they prefer the thug look. Success is not based on hard work, rather it is based on lottery odds of becoming famous or doing something illegal to make substantial money. Basicly it's "screw society, get yours". This is clearly a liberal philosophy. It doesn't matter the consequences to everybody else, all it takes is a selfish attitude and the willingness to do whatever it takes (including killing your own children and anyone else that gets in the way) to get what you want right now.

I don't know which is funnier: that my point went so far over your head, or that you claim projection while projecting to such a degree...

People that do this have very little interest in understanding issues. They do this because it is simplistic and makes it easy to attack the whole group.

Actually, "screw society, get yours" is the purest analysis of libertarian philosophy. Read Ayn Rand's "The Virtue of Self".

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the need for "black spokespeople" to say anything. Pretty sure plenty of black parents out there are telling their children to never even look at a cop sideways.

White parents too. Lotta white folks get shot by the police... more in raw numbers than blacks.

Son#1 is nineteen and fairly harmless. He looks, however, more like a huge hairy 25yo Hell's Angel Prospect, and I worry about how cops will treat him if he gets stopped. I have therefore instructed him to assume any cops he interacts with would LOVE an excuse to beat him bloody or shoot him dead, and not to give them one.

This is a question you should be asking Black&Liberal America!

And should you by chance find out; please let the rest of us know!
