a factory bose system can't hold a candle to even the most basic aftermarket system with a sub. dude probably never even heard it.
Whatever, Rev. Always gotta be a negative Nancy. You were a lot more fun when you were here before. Now you just always come in and be negative and try to bring people down.
My factory Bose system works just fine for me and it does the trick. If people turn and look at your car when you turn your music up, then it means they heard it.
But go ahead and insult me some more if it makes you feel better.
well i am sick and tired of people with ungodly subwoofers who think their bass needs to be so loud that it rattles out everyones windows within 500 feet of where they drive their car.
so im thinking of buying the most epic bass blasting music system money can buy,and blasting either classical orchestra or scottish bagpipe music.
what do yall think.
I feel bad for the people caught in the crossfire.

i am going to give the rev a free pass in this instance and assume he was well intended in his attempt to explain the difference between your (high end) stock sound system and those available from the after-market
that bose system is excellent. it is also designed to be heard only by those seated in your vehicle
in contrast, the subwoofers that create a public commotion, are vastly oversized for the cars in which they are installed. they have massive speakers capable of dispersing low range frequencies that you would not need - or want - in a conventional vehicle. those speakers have separate amplifiers to push the bass ... because low end frequencies require much more power to transmit than mid-high frequencies that we are accustomed to listening to in our stock equipped autos. the stock systems, like bose, have adequate amplification capacity because they are not pushing those power consuming subwoofer speakers that grate on us
bottom line, your system was excellently designed for listening in the car's natural environment
the cars that rattle the landscape were designed to intrude on the sonic space of others ... people with attention getting behavior need such toys

I dunnno, mixing country, rap, and classical could be a new genre,.
yeah classical crap.
classical country hip hop dub beat.
I always was told when you mixed Country and rap you got Crap.
blue grass-polka with more than a hint of drum line for sonic effect
but then that was present even before the addition of rap

Had a kid bring in a Ford Escort years ago with one of those systems in it. Ford uses what is called an inertia switch as a safety device in the fuel pump wiring. If the car is hit hard enough it pops up kind of like a circuit breaker, turning off the fuel pump. It is to prevent an open fuel leak in case of an accident. Well, on his car it was located above the left rear wheel. So when he would turn his system up loud enough it would trip the switch and the car would quit. He couldn't figure it out. When we discovered the problem he wanted me to bypass the switch. I wouldn't do it. Not going to disable a safety system and be liable for it.
That wasn't a "saftey system" that was "what's the cheapest way to stop these pieces of **** from blowing up and still sell them" system.
no way. too tame
play some ****ing banjo 'music'
Probably won't work, as you see you need to hit certain frequencies hard, eq out certain resonances, etc, which is mostly done in studio and then re-boosted at equipment level.
You can take Tchaikovsky's 4th, or Dukas: Fanfare, La Péri which are very booming and powerful movements, but it will never have the kick of something like Runnin' by david dallas.
Where the **** do you live that this is a problem? lol

I think you'll have better luck with this - and it's been proven to work before :
But instead of cranking up the bass, try cranking up the treble
in texas.the city which i work actually has laws allowing cops to give tickets and sieze radio equpiment for noise pollution, but it is litterally never enforced in the city, the neighboring fort hood however does enforce it,and the mp's will confiscate subwoofers etc.so they just keep their music down until they leave post.
worse was one guy in a crown vic on giant rims not only had one of those soundsystems that causes everything to rattle like an earthquake,he had a loud pa speaker blasting his music while he was driving so everyone in a mile radius could hear him.
