Computer problem

Went home on a break and it turned out to be the video card. Now it's time to figure out what I want in a video card.

i had a coworker whos video card prevented him from running or booting anything, even in safe mode,he turned the computer off, swapped card, then everything worked again.

You can get them at a wide range of prices. Just looked at Amazon and found cards for $35 and cards for $350. The majority run less than $150.

Yes it is odd, but I worked on frequency motor control systems that were as frustrating as weigh scale microprocessor glitches....

What are the system specs? (That may narrow down your options.)

Sorry I'm late getting back to you. My monitor didn't agree with by IT guy's video card. Now I'm just using the integral card to the motherboard until I get a better card. 2.7 GHz AMD processor, 4GB ram, Windows 7 Prof operating system. I don't game. I use my home PC just for cruising the net and watching videos (YouTube, streaming, etc.).

Then it should be simple to get a cheap video card and not worry about it.
