No, I'm saying we are already kill defenseless chicken at any age we feel like doing it. Is your only complaint really that they used a golf club and they did it for fun? Wouldn't that mean you really don't care if defenseless chicken get killed?

I've got no problem with chicken being killed for human consumption. I already said that so you must have missed it. Yes I find the waste, golf club and doing it for fun disgusting. Funny how you didn't get that from the OP.

Again, you realize we do kill chicken for other reasons than human consumption, right? Do you think we eat the chicks we kill? No, they get thrown in the garbage. Hell, if it is a male chicken we kill them when we do to save money. A chickens life is terrible no matter if it is killed with a golf club or in ways we deem socially acceptable. In the end, it really makes no difference. They either wait around in a cage to be killed or get killed early when they fail their inspection. The only reason we raise chickens is to eat their eggs and to eat them. We don't raise chicken because we care for them or that we want what is best for them, but because they are food. This whole outrage is really just not all that believable when you really consider what we do to chickens.

I'm not asking you to believe my outrage - what you do or do not believe is irrelevant. Comment on the actions of the story or do not. This thread is not about me..... for one stating obvious things the main obviousness of this entire forum seems to escape you. Now... anything else to contribute?

I hunt but, generally only for meat and the occasional varmint that attacks my chickens or other pets.

I'm after a feral cat as we type.

All the meat on those chickens was wasted.

When reading the headline, it immediately came to mind that someone must have gone overboard 'choking the chicken', but naaa, they used a gold club.

Regardless, a bunch of sick ****s, that's for sure.
 
All my life I've felt that there is something fundamentally wrong with those who abuse animals. The lack of empathy is scary. From an article on the characteristics of animal abusers:

In my view, this is just indicative of what appears, at least to me, to be a distinct devaluing of life in all forms by many young people. Damned if I know why.
 
Senseless, despicable act by a bunch of kids who enjoyed hell out of slaughtering small animals that could do nothing to defend themselves. It was brutal, intending to cause lingering physical agony. I'm not saying they will all grow up to be serial killers; I am saying I won't be surprised if they do. They are a bunch of truly sick ****s.

What in the world could possess anyone to "kill" 920 chickens that aren't meant for consumption?

I swear this new generation is bat**** crazy... They have no TRUE morals, ethics and can hardly tell the line between what is reality and what is phantasy.

This ****ing progressive ideology has destroyed basic morals and ethics and turned those ideas into a "so what" delusion.

At least these narcissists didn't kill people which I'm sure were on their list.
