It is a very good show. I haven't watched this week's episode yet but I'm hooked.
Same. I can't wait for the next episode.

Make them Italian, and you have the Godfather. So one, its a rip off and two its glorifying a violent family. Seriously? Glorifies what? All I see is a very brutal President, killing people for no reason, and beautiful women wearing burkas, biting men's penises off. I saw nothing glorifying anything.
Are there ruling classes in the Middle East? Yes. Are there royals that live a life of opulence? Of course. To not show the royal family, or the President, living a life like this would be disingenuous to the way they actually live. You can't show the President living in a hovel, can you? If you aren't going to be accurate in how things really are, then why bother with a show in the first place?

Actually never watched the Sopranos. Scarface was about a Cuban. And no, I dont like the fact they are a middle eastern family. Cue calling me a racist now, but I really dont care.So because Mario Puzo did it first (not that he did), nobody else can ever have a family that rules by violence?
Guess you don't like any Scorcese movies, either, because they are ripping off The Godfather. Never watched The Sopranos? Scarface? Once Upon a Time in America? None of the Tarantino gangster films?
Or do you just not like this one because it's a Middle Eastern family?

 I didn't have to call you one. You did a good enough job of that on your own. Now if you aren't going to discuss the show, maybe you can hop over to the Middle East forum and spread your love over there?
From what you describe it seems to be similar to a tv miniseries I watched a few years back called House of Saddam (about Saddam Hussein and his family), since I love gangster shows (love Boardwalk Empire and the Sopranos) I'll probably watch it but I'll wait till the season is over and then binge watch.Anybody seen this show? It's pretty new - on FX, but rated M.
Excellent show, in my opinion. The gist is that a man from a troubled Middle Eastern country, travels from America to attend the wedding of his nephew. He is the son of the President, and tries to decide whether he should stay there and help, or run back home, and get away from the violence within the country, and from within his family.
Tyrant (TV Series 2014)
When it comes to violent militant middle easterners, I couldnt care less what you think of me. They have squared off with us, we are just too stupid as a nation to realize it.

Buh-bye.
