Thread: Psychic experiences?

have you had any?

I had one yesterday. for some reason, I started thinking about the movie "The Fabulous Baker Boys".

its an old movie, that is almost NEVER on tv. And yet today, I was flipping through the channels, and there it was.

Ive had things like this happen to me a lot.

I was watching something on tv a few years ago that explained it as circular thinking or something..
The fact that you see it happen on tv makes you think you were thinking it-it's the brain messing with you.

no, I was actually thinking about this movie yesterday.

It is what most of us would simply call a coincidence. ;-)

Again they were explaining that..people really do believe it..it is not faulty thinking upon your part

The most intense one I've ever had was when I was hitchhiking up the California coast inthe early seventies. A women about my age picked me up and we hit it off right away. As it got late we decided to pull off the road to sleep on a beach, but sometime during the night I had a horrible nightmare. I dreamed a balding man was looking down on us from the cliffs above intent on killing us and my perspective shifted from being me to being him looking down at us. I awoke with a start, my heart pounding and as I looked up, my travelling companion had a look of pure terror in her eyes. I said "let's" and she finished "get out of here" and we ran back to the car.

Once we were in the car and driving, she recounted the dream she had and it was the same as mine down to the exact detail -- the balding man , the shifting perspective, the knowledge we were going to be killed -- everything. It scared us both sh!tless knowing we had the same dream at the same exact time, and I still think about it all these years later. I sure wish I knew who she was, but you will have a tough time convincing me that we weren't having that shared dream for some sort of reason.

Along with THOUSANDS of other thoughts that day yet, since they were NOT reenforced by being "retriggered", they were simply forgotten. Having 1 in say 10,000 ramdom thoughts "confirmed" by a later "revelation" is hardly a "phsychic experience", simply a confirmed coincidence, IMHO.

I have them almost every day and most times they are about my ex girlfriend. I'll be singing our song in my head and walk in a room and it'll be on. Once, we made a sexual joke about brownies (I don't even know how but we did). I was thinking about brownies and was talking to her mom about it and she mentioned that her daughter had just had a HUGE craving for brownies. Or I'll mention a certain memory of us and find out that she was talking about it herself. Both her and I would shower at the same exact time almost every day and neither of us even tried to time it.

I have others too.

Once I was driving home from work and just had a feeling that my mom was pissed at me for something. Got home and sho nuff, she was pissed at me. You can probably argue that I knew I did something wrong but I actually hadn't (in my mind).

But it happens the most with my ex

When it comes to any psychic on TV or who has a 900 number you can call, I scoff.

But personal experiences.... that's another matter. There IS more to existence than just the material, mechanical universe.

I am not sure that psychic experiences have anything to do with TV shows or "the Fabulous Baker Boys"...

Aren't psychic experiences about seeing ghosts, hearing kids laughing in the attic, reading somebody's mind, having a vision about how something happened, etc?

I have seen two ghosts, one very vivid. My daughter (at almost 4 years old) said that she talked to her great grandma during the night and that great granny was going away... we found out later that day that she had died the night before over 8,000 miles away. She has had a few experiences like that.
