First named storm of the season

Hello, Alberto. I see you might be knocking on my door in a day or two. Making for some nice waves on the beach. I am at the pointy tip of the arrow. Could make for an interesting day or two, if it doesn't break apart. I tell you, we could certainly use the rain. I have to water my grass, because the sod was only laid a couple of months ago, and it's not rooted well enough yet to be sparse on the watering. I watered every few days, and got a (are you sitting down?) $180 water bill. For one month.

So yeah, as long as it's just a nice soaking rain, I will welcome Alberto with open arms.

It's all good as long as its gone before July 13th. Going to be traveling to NC and then down to New Smyrna Beach for Vacation. I wouldn't mind a storm churning up some good waves but not while I am in the car.

    Goodluck Superfly!

I'll see what I can do. If it comes close, I'll stand on the beach and blow real hard!!

I appreciate it. I need this vacation bad! For your generosity me and the family will spend a day cleaning the beach ( we always do anyway)

And now we are in the direct line of Beryl. Supposed to hit landfall tonight around midnight. Jim Cantore from The Weather Channel is on St. Simons Island, just a few miles from my house.

I brought my lawn chairs, plants and patio table inside the garage. The grill and fire pit are up against the house, and can be brought in if need be. I have tons of candles, matches and extra lamp oil.

I am going out later for staples (milk, bread, tequila) -- after that, I'm all set.

This is the 2nd named storm of the season and it's not even technically hurricane season until next week. I think this is going to be a busy season.

I have been watching this develop. Seems like it is getting stronger. Good luck and baton down the hatches!

Yup, we're good so far. We got alot of wind, alot of rain. Jacksonville got more than us. We took the kids to the beach yesterday and all got our faces sandblasted LOL.

It's turning around and going back over us again, but this time it will just be alot of rain. I'm cool with that!!

Took this pic yesterday, loved how it turned out --
