How to take the right excape route from reality?

This is a question that has probably plagued mankind for centuries.

Some take the hard road drugs and booz.
That's one way but a bit dangerous if not handled correctly
Others go out or meet with friends
Or maybe a good movie or T.V. SHOW
Some play games on the internet
    Some wrap theirself in religion
Although I have faith in God any problem I can handle I handle , I don't bother God with my little problems.
Some take refuse in a good book
As for me it's always been music Rock or better yet blues.

If you're really lucky you get the best escape something called VACATION

Now I'm not saying a person should not accept responsibility they should but 24 hrs a day 7 days a week that can get old.

So how about you posters out there what do you do to escape the shackles of reality, what's your escape route?

Just so you know no matter what you use you always come back to the same old reality of the world in which we all reside

I dress up as Jar-Jar Binks and dance in the moonlight while masturbating in rhythm to Enya.

I used to escape in books and hobbies, but I have managed to escape completely now, and my normal state is a good place.

I read a lot, and I like a good movie... or even a middling-fair movie. I've found these pastimes have fewer negative side effects than booze and drugs.

My son and I also practice martial arts and edged weapons and shooting, and have arguments about who is going to score Zombie Kill of the Week when the Z-pocalypse arrives.

There are people calling for the banning of assault weapons who could not define an “assault weapon“ if their life depended on it. Yet the ignorant expect others to take them seriously.

Since as long as I can remember (small child) I have had a love for nature/outdoors. I find the best balm for my soul is to get away from mans society and creations. Simply sitting down in an all natural environment such as a forest and listening/watching to the natural things around me leaves me refreshed and energized. When one focuses on peaceful natural things it is hard to crowd ones thoughts and moods with the rigors of life.

People may find it strange that I would pull over in the middle of no where, walk into the forest and sit for hours with no obvious source of entertainment, but for me no form of modern entertainment can match the wonders of mother nature.
