I gave my wife a nice pair of sunglasses and a year's personal training at the health club she attends (2X a week)

I gave my son a 22 target pistol, a martial arts sword (one he can use-I gave him a really nice one last year for his black belt but he says he doesn't want to beat it up so this new one is a bit heavier but not as pretty) and an aluminum hard case for his table tennis paddle.

We gave everybody a beach towel. Then announced that we were all going to the Florida Keys for a week in January and that was their real present. Two kids, spouses and three grandkids all together in the sunshine and gorging on seafood and surf. It should be great.

I got my wife a Kindle Fire (which she's already using) and some gloves to keep warm in this Texas snow (Texas snow?). I got new PC speakers so I can blast the Allman brothers and Black Crowes. And I'll get Rise of Flight (WW1 Flight sim).

Being the incurable romantic that I am I gave my wife a new remote for the garage door. I also gave her a new netbook to replace the new netbook I bought her last Christmas. (It got crunched in the recliner. Don't ask.) Then some perfume, jewelry, etc....

I got a jersey with a cool moose embroidered on it and I got a propane torpedo heater for the shanty. I did get, however, a very unique gift that was rather unexpected yet totally fitting. First, you have to know what an avid fisherman I am, to understand.

    Okay here we go:

Extended family: All got a box of homemade baked goods. I made toffee-almond bark, peppermint bark, butter tarts, rum balls, peanut butter fudge, puppy chow, and homemade chex mix

MIL: Got some plaques for her kitchen wall, a nice candle, a monogrammed mug

FIL: Will get a nice dinner (he's impossible to buy for; he's never used a single gift we've bought him)

Dad: .40 cal Remington ammo, pajama set, heavy duty ceramic travel mug, $25 for Texas Land and Cattle, a new LED book light

Mom: Lighthouse calendar, boxers for lounging, slipper socks, Lion King on DVD, a nice candle

Brandon: A multi-bit screw driver set, a guitar, a book of Eagles songs to learn on said guitar, a funny t-shirt

As for me...I got a funnel cake set from Brandon, a three-compartment shower dispenser from Brandon, new phone covers from Brandon, slipper socks from Brandon, a BabyCakes cake pop maker from my parents, Bob Seger tickets from my parents, and a new electric shaver from my parents.

Oh, and I got Brandon's sister wine glasses and some really cute candle holders, even though we're on the outs right now.

My mom: accessories for her Kindle Fire. She loves it, and wanted the nice case, and the screen protectors, and the little stand thingy.

My sister: surprisingly expensive gloves you can touch screen with. Expensive because they had to be stylish too.

My brother in law: A bunch of accessories for his KomodoJoe(if you have not seen one of those, check them out, they are wonderful), and a blade collection for his new reciprocating saw.

    My niece: Gift certificate.

My niece's girlfriend: candy, cuz she can eat all she wants and never put on a spare ounce.

My grandniece: a super soft cuddly stuffed dog for in her crib to sleep with.

I got a ton of clothes, some Amazon gift cards, new pajamas, a bluray player, and a mini room fridge(was funny, as it was being brought into house, I looked and thought how nice it would be to have that, some one was getting very lucky. Never occurred to me it was for me, and my expression when they told me it was for me was apparently hilarious.)
