Government watchdog Judicial Watch announced a lawsuit Tuesday morning against the Department of Health and Human Services after officials failed to comply with a November 8, 2013 Freedom of Information Act Request about Obamacare navigators. The suit was filed on March 27, 2014, but was publicly revealed today.

Since navigators were hired, HHS has failed to provide a concrete record of what processes navigators must go through before being qualified to handle sensitive information of potential Obamacare enrollees. Judicial Watch is suing for information about navigator qualifications, background checks and records about the navigator program. From the November FOIA:

“The Obamacare navigator program seems as corrupt as any Chicago patronage operation – and is a danger to the privacy of millions of Americans who are participating in Obamacare,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “The use of Obamacare navigators and the Healthcare.gov web site should come with consumer warnings. The Obama administration’s illegal secrecy about these Obamacare navigators should make Americans very nervous."

In California alone, at least 43 convicted criminals have worked as navigators and handling sensitive information of private citizens.

It has also been documented that people formerly part of ACORN, a group that was stripped of its federal funding in 2009 for alleged illegal activity like promoting underage prostitution and tax fraud, have been brought in to run Obamacare navigator programs. Further, government officials on both sides of the political aisle have learned about the potential for fraud and criminal activity in the navigator program......snip~

I read this morning about a couple other lawsuits that Judicial Watch has had to file against the Administration.

So much for the most transparent Administration in US history.

Maybe this is what he meant by CHANGE:


Because his standard of transparency, the rule of law and openness sure has CHANGED.

Mornin' Beaudreaux. :2wave: Indeed......Transparency. You called that one Right. Thing is Judicial watch has been on them about it for how long? Also they knew about those former Acorn Members being put in charge of locations for those navigators, they picked up on from Texas. Then lets not forget they stuck some of these Navigators around the Mexican Consulates.

Who can they blame on this one? Watch Team O will come out and blame Judicial Watch. They will say Fitton is a Republican or a Tea Partier and just has an axe to grind. Either way.....if Obama speaks on it. One thing is for certain. We will be lied to.

Another thing Beuadreaux. Do you think any of these Navigators could have played with the number of enrollees they signed up?

What happened to the Loyal Supporters thereof? Discovered some more bad news with their Man's program and they are already running, avoiding, and dodging again, huh? :lol:

Not sure. But I do know that they've found a large number of illegal aliens have been signed up by them.
 
My understanding is that the qualifications are determined by each of the 50 states.
 
Lets not forget that Team O helped themselves to a Grant for 67 Million for HHS to hire just Navigators.

Well.....to be honest they didn't know how many they were going to hire. But they did promise them 18-40 dollars an hour. Just to help people sign up for BO's care. Well over the minimum wage, huh?

I know in the land of privilege, "Reading a website" (as if it were that simple) might be a given, but for many, that's not. And conservatives slag on liberals for being "elitist." Tsk tsk.

They're also requesting GSE documentation through the Freedom of Information Act.

Obama wont release those documents either.

It would expose the fact that the Democrats ran those two GSEs like ENRON on steroids.

Yea I've been keeping my eye on that.

The unprecedented Democrat corruption of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the Consequences of that Corruption should be exposed to the point where its common knowledge.

The Democrats made the cortuption of ENRON look like Childs play compared to what they did at those two iconic American Institutions.

And no one went to jail.

Judicial Watch did manage to get some of the 2004 OFHEO documents that were sent out to Barney Frank.

Those documents warned him of just how financially unstable Freddie and Fannie were.

He ignored them.

Judicial Watch wants a detailed and itemized account of their current debt, and they want the true value of the 1.5 Trillion dollars in GSE owned Mortgage Backed Securities that the Fed now owns.

Obama says no way, it would expose the amount of corruption that went on at those two GSEs during the Sub-Prime Build up.

The FED is buying up 40 Billion dollars of worthless MBSs a month but we dont need to know that apparently.
 
That video of our fearless leader's pronouncement of transparency in government should be placed side by side with his equally righteous pronouncement as 'phony scandals':

Fast & furious. . .
The fact that the families of those killed and wounded in Benghazi still can't get straight answers from this administration. . .
GSA and other federal employees spending millions of tax payer dollars having wild parties in lavish resorts and making videos of themselves. . .
IRS blocking hundreds of applications of conservative groups and almost no applications of liberal groups in the years prior to the 2010 and 2012 elections. . . .
IRS targeting for audits a disproportionate number of people who speak out opposing this administration while lamenting that budget cuts limit their auditing of the general population to a tiny fraction. . .
Labeling a news reporters as a possible felon to justify a personal investigation of him, for no reason other than he was investigating some of these things. . . .
Collecting e-mails and other personal information from all AP reporters. . .
Collecting phone et al information from millions of Americans. . . .

That's just a few of the things this administration refuses to be open and transparent about.

So we can now add the Navigators to that ever growing list.

And still there are people so clueless and/or ideologically blind that they keep voting these people back into office. :(

No, no, no... you guys just have his message BACKWARDS. He meant that things would be more transparent under his administration and this is damn sure a promise kept.

Because of the efforts of the NSA the American people are more transparent than ever!
