Today is the day of President Obama's self-imposed "deadline" for marked improvements in functionality for Healthcare.gov, a crucial cog in the Rube Goldberg machine of Obamacare. Don't be surprised if the Obama Administration's out there front and center with spin on how they've met their deadline.

Don't believe it.

The Obama Administration declared that their goals - which were never publicly specified - have been met. The most concrete goal we ever heard was that the "vast majority" of visitors to the Obamacare website Healthcare.gov would have a smooth experience. What that doesn't account for is the actual infrastructure problems that mean that users won't know if their application for insurance was actually processed properly.

Neither HHS' mission-accomplished report nor CMS' early-morning conference call actually addressed these problems.

There's still a lot wrong.: ......snip~

Don't fall for the okie doke......don't let Obama Spin it any other way. Bugs, glitches, and problems are still here.

Perhaps Obama is crazy like a fox. The basics of the PPACA law still suck, but the conversation has been shifted away from that - along with any need for Obama to defend it. First you create a crisis - assert that many millions of people want to get PPACA exchange plans but the darn website won't work. Using that crisis, you then postpone the big mess, the employer mandate, until after the last congressional election of your final term in office. Next you fix the crisis (that you created)- declaring (spinning?) that it was due to the (unverifiable?) "unprecedented" high demand for PPACA exchange plans and the people are now able to get "access to" the wonders of PPACA income redistribution subsidies.

The MSM will immediately declare that PPACA "'was fixed", with nothing changed but a "sort of" working website, many waivers and delays of the "bad parts". Wait about a week for the MSM to pipe in with many "PPACA gave me access to insurance for the first time in my life" stories, always down playing that the number added to the Medicaid roles or getting PPACA subsidies is 8X to 10X as many "full fare'' PPACA exchange customers signed up.

From the reporting I've heard this morning, the back end is still screwed up. The greatest amount of information that is sent from the site to the insurance companies is not usable.

If someone actually does buy a policy on the the government site, more than likely, they still don't have insurance because the insurance companies can't get the correct information to issue the policy.

And I'm still wondering about all those low income (but not eligible for Medicaid) individuals who don't have internet access..... ;)

They have already been trying to do the Jedi mind trick for the last 3 weeks. A certain percentage...they didnt have to bother with because they are mindless O-bots and are already fully enmeshed. Some...lets be honest...it could turn out to be the next best thing since sliced bread and they would never acknowledge it as a good thing. The rest? The vast majority of people in the country? Well...lets just say they are 'skeptical'...

They can go to a Navigator... oh, wait... they can't do that, since they can't be expected to go get a free voter ID either.

That's true...but there's more.

The mechanisms for actually PAYING for your insurance hasn't even been built yet.

That's like an MMO developer building a game and not building any way to pay your subscription fee.

What happens to the people who sign up in time, think they have insurance, have an emergency...and find out there IS no insurance because they haven't paid for it?

The White House has set up a new hot line for that sort of thing: 1-800-ITS-2BAD.

Heya Ttwtt. :2wave: Well.....we knew they would say they whatever benchmarks in their own mind, were met. This morning Jarrett was saying the Site was up and Running. Even tho at the time she was giving the interview they had taken it down. One hand not watching what the other was doing I guess.

The point is that everyone is now talking about only the implementation details, not the basic federal nanny state expansion and income redistribution concepts. That alone makes the website SNAFU into a winner. ;)

Heya GG.

That and when they will look to finish setting up the payment applications.

Heya VM. :2wave: I take it you wont be falling for their new spin job. Don't worry.....neither will all the MS Media. Some are just waiting for that Gotcha moment. Get that scoop on Obama screw-ups.

Well.....truthfully they are watching what they say now. Still we should remind Obama. That he will have to shed blood over his people and Care package. The Republicans now need to push for Sebelius' Head on Silver Platter. Let him know he can still keep his gold plated one.

Lets hope those Hackers don't pull a surprise move on him.....huh? Bad enough they can't keep peoples info protected.

Don't forget the lie about the Doctors as more and more of them close up shop and get dropped from networks.

There is nothing "perceived" about millions of people having been forced out of policies they were quite happy with. And let's be honest...the first 13 posters...ok...not fans. But the 14th? Well...there's no mystery about that poster either.

and if sebelius is removed, the republicans will probably opose any of obamas nominees to replace her.

Heya MC. :2wave: and that still hasn't stopped the insurers from getting false information either.

Over 5 Million by end of the next two weeks.....plus the state exchanges aren't doing so well either. No Payment applications and here is another note. They will be Shutting down the system tonight again.

Don't be surprised to hear some more of.....well we will need to shut it down to check on our progress.

Good thing Talk Radio is slamming Obama over his trust issue. Keep that up in the news about how he just can't be trusted to do the.....Right thing. Get it in Print all over the place. Those overseas have lost trust in him too. Let him see and feel that none can trust him anymore.

Nothing can be more fitting for him to live with. For the rest of his life. As he wont count his own Obamabots in the mix. So it will Impact him deeply until the end of his days.

Hopefully, it will take some time still since the Dems got rid of the Filibuster over it. But then it will be good to see Sebelius hit pasture and know she is done in DC for a long long time.

That won't happen nearly as much until the IPAB gets into rolling out the "cost savings".

Ah ... IPAB ... another one of the lies that needed a <period> to sell ... you're right ... it's one of those things they're presenting as a benign cost control mechanism ... wait'll the folks catch on whose cost is being controlled - and this after having taken 1/2 trillion from some of the same people.

That's when pulling the plug is a cost control effort. You just happen to fall outside the parameters we recently adjusted to make sure you fall outside of them. Too bad.
