Why your horoscope for 2011 is wrong!!!

I wonder, do Astrologers actually exist? And do they actually do some sort of ritual to come up with the predictions, or are they just straight made up?

People are so silly sometimes.

I got interested in astrology for a while. Sidereal astrology calculates your chart from the planets as they are in the sky. I have found though that although the planets are in different signs depending on which system I use, for my chart they seem to even themselves out through my chart so that it isn't that different.

For anyone who knows nothing about astrology, your astrological chart has much much more in it than your sun sign, all the planets are there including pluto which isn't really a planet at all and several other things depending on the astrologer, plus each of your planets is in a house and all of them are having relationships with each other which not infrequently relates to conflicts of personalities and sub personalities and so on. It is reckoned everyone's chart is different and it would take around 25,000 years for one to be replicated. Oh the place of your birth and the time to the minute, some would say second also make a difference.

It also is not infrequent for people to become quite different from their natal planet because they have changed and grown in their life and astrologers like to see what people's transits are up to so it is much more involved than you would think from the daily paper or whatever.

One thing I find interesting, my mother, both my brothers, myself, my daughter and my grandaughter all have the planet Mars, (roughly motivation) in the same sign. I'd have to think that goes way against all the odds.

Once upon a time there was a movement to ban astrology from the newspaper because it was ungodly or some such and contributed to te moral decay of America encouraging people to rely on it instead of God. A paper's editor pointed out that the astrology section was on the same page as the comics.
