Liar. There's no gun in this photo.

Why? Because they look like average Republicans? I disagree. I'm a former Republican and still support the right to bear arms. Aussies are turning into wusses.

They look like douchebags. With douchebag hair and douchebag clothes and douchebag attitudes. Politics has nothing to do with it.

Anybody else find it weird that posing with guns for a picture is considered "inappropriate"? Clint Eastwood would weep...if he could.
again I note that those who most whine about guns are usually the people most needing of being SHOT

I too wish death or serious injury upon those I have disagreements with.

It has nothing to do with disagreements. Those who whine the most about guns generally are people who engage in activity that warrants being shot. Criminals and despots for example are major supporters of gun bans. Hitler, Stalin and Castro for example

Oh good grief..... has Australia become such a nation of pansies? I hope not. Crocodile Dundee is rolling over in his grave.
Crocodile Dundee was made before the gun ban.

But this is just ****ing ridiculous. They shouldn't be punished at all, they did nothing wrong, at all.

Admitedly they do look a bit stupid posing with those firearms....but...

    That isn't the firearm's fault....

    Re: Posing with guns "inappropriate"

They posted a photo of themselves holding weapons at a gun store and the photos did not contain any obscene or incriminating behaviour. I don't see a problem with it.

The other thing that has not been mentioned here yet is that back in 2007, the Australian swimming team went to a Canberra shooting range as part of a team-bonding session which was organised by officials. Didn't seem to be a problem then so why now, some 5 years later are D'Arcy and Monk being disciplined for taking a picture of themselves holding a gun, in a gun shop, in a country where guns are legal?

    Just ridiculous.

The AOC have their priorities all wrong here. 6 weeks out from the start of the Olympic Games, one would think the AOC would be offering all the support they can to the athletes representing Australia rather than creating unneccessary drama.

I think it is like somebody (mega?) said: they're looking for an excuse to get rid of these two guys and anything, no matter how silly, will do.

There are people calling for the banning of assault weapons who could not define an “assault weapon“ if their life depended on it. Yet the ignorant expect others to take them seriously.
