This is why any law needs a person or persons administering it – to account for the inevitable collision between the letter and the spirit of the law.

School officials issued a statement saying they couldn’t discuss the case, but they pointed out a school board policy that defines sexual harassment as any unwelcome sexual advance. There is no age limit.

This is the most disturbing part of this story. Who exactly did he harass? How is discussing his self-proclaimed sex appeal with other students harassment? Draconian policies like this have tickled down from the workplace to colleges, high schools, and now they are being instituted in elementary schools. This is the inevitable result of fifty years of radical feminism

I feel bad for this kid. But in the long run it's better that he is exposed to this kind of insanity at a young age, because it's only going to get worse as he get's older. At this rate, by the time he reaches high school, even looking at a woman the wrong way or asking her out on date when there are no clear signs of interest will be forms of sexual harassment. And feminist indoctrination will be a normal part of the high school curriculum.

Things have changed a lot - or maybe this reflects how different districts try to respond to situations:
7 years ago I received a call about my son - who was humping (as a joke) kids at school.
they tried to discourage 'the joke' at school for about 3 weeks before they called me to inform me of what was going on.

It didn't hit the news
He wasn't suspended
One firm serious talk and punishment later - he never did it again.

I did, however, unload on the school about them *not* telling me *right away* - I can handle my kids = I must be informed PRONTO.

Zero tolerance = Zero brains.



It's time we made "zero tolerance" a dirty word.

What in the hell has happened to common sense...and applying it when dealing with kids....I mean WOW...just wow...
