I have heard of other such uses of human or animal excrement as a means of protection. For example, the Komodo Dragon and the Potato Beetle both cover themselves in their own feces to avoid being eaten by predators. Other insects, like the Potato Beetle, also use what is called a "Fecal Shield" for similar forms of protection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fecal_shield and Insect Fecal Defense Mechanisms. The use of feces as a defensive mechanism by humans has also been discussed in other areas on survival related forums. There was a case where a guy in Ohio tried something of this sort to avoid arrest. It didn't play out well for him and I am sure he got the hose ASAP: The Feces Defense Didn't Work - WOUB Digital. Anybody here know of similar stories or discussions about the use of excrement or feces for defense?
