Driving while intoxicated is a serious matter and too often results in tragedy but occasionally there is also some humor involved. Take this picture as an example -

Another motorist noticed this car, with the tree sticking out of it, driving down the road and figured it might be a good idea to call the cops. The cops were able to locate the vehicle and pull the driver over.

As an aside, this is also a testament to the quality of Ford products. Not every car is still going to be driveable with a tree sticking out of the grill though it may be difficult to get in the garage.

Men may not stop to ask for directions, but it appears that women (at least this one woman) will not stop for trees that are in the way.

Holy ****! That impact literally collecting a tree and still going had to have sounded spectacular.

Can't wait for the follow up article on a defense attorney somewhere speaking about this case.

I'm pretty sure this one is one of those cases where "nolo contendre" is the appropriate plea.

The cops were able to locate the vehicle...

I would certainly hope so! I would have loved to hear the conversation between the officer and the driver upon the stop. I wonder if it started, "Ma'am, do you know why I pulled you over?"

I wonder what was in the trunk.

Another tree? (She could have backed into another one.)

That happens.

When I was in the service I had a Major ram the car in front of him at the main gate. He then threw it in reverse and rammed the guy behind him. One of the cars he hit was a Colonel. It was a bad, bad day for the Major.

I don't know, I witnessed in cali a drunk driver with an old late 80's, early 90's caravan drive through a brick wall at the shop, back up and drive off like nothing happened. The cops managed to track him down from the coolant and transmission fluid leaking, but he did drive away.

Do not know the exact speed, but to hit the wall and send bricks flying 10 to 20 feet away he had to have some decent speed going.

What's this country coming to when a tree can't hitch a ride with a passing motorist without the cops getting involved.

I'm sure he'll claim the person who planted the tree is at fault.
