A Jim Beam warehouse in Kentucky was struck by lightning releasing 800,000 gallons of bourbon into a nearby lake. Then, the lake was hit by a 'firenado' setting the inflammable liquid alight.


The firenado was caused when a bolt of lighting hit the ground setting a fire which was in the path of a tornado, which sucked up the flames, creating a terrifying spiralling inferno.

Talk about a bad day!! And on top of that, if you want to have a drink to settle your nerves you can't because it all caught fire! The good news is that you could probably pick up a few bourbon soaked trout from the creek.

One of my favorite blues tunes is Diving Duck Blues. "...if the river was whiskey and I was a diving duck..."



Of course there was no "firenado" involved in the tune.:lol:
 
Damn -- the only thing that could make this thread any better is some sharks!

Right? You can't have a good firenado without a bunch of sharks. With lasers on their heads.
 
The silver lining is, at least it was only Jim Beam.

It was gawd punishing the producers and purveyors of the devil's sweat. Bourbon causes people to fornicate and pinch one another's butts. Rye on the other hand causes people to lie, get nekkid and waller (wallow) in one another. Either way, it's worth the effort to consume.

 
What a heartbreaking loss of perfectly good liquor. Glad I'm not a bourbon drinker... but still.
