The obvious solution to this epidemic is to establish the Department of Non-partisan School Singing, which will catalog and correct the imbalance in which presidents/politicians are receiving lyrical praise by breaking up school choirs or insisting there be an even amount of praise given to all presidents/politicians regardless of your affection for them or appreciation of their policies. Contact your local Congressmen with your concerns to drum up support for this legislation.

I have 2 points to make:

1) This is showing that children can be anything they want in life. Rather than praise for Obama, this is a school providing positive reinforcement to kids, hence the use of the phrase "Yes we can".

2) When I went to grade school, Eisenhower was praised quite frequently by the teachers and staff. Was it because he was a Republican? No. It was because he was the president of the best nation on Earth.

I think you are reading WAY too much into this, but let me tell you this much. I was against much of what Bush represented, but he was my president, and I respected that. I am now against much of what Obama represents, but he is my president, and I respect that too. Both Bush and Obama love America. If they didn't, I seriously doubt that either would have ended up as president. I don't think much of the vision either had for America, but I will at least grudgingly accept the fact that both of them love this country. To believe anything else is to dishonestly hope the worst for America, while at the same time, talking out of the other side of my mouth.

Bush and Obama - Bad for America, but neither of them is a bad person - They are just patriots who happen to be wrong.

Ordinarily I'd agree with you about Obama, but my guess is you'll have no problem with the above video and show you have no credibility on the isssue.

I think if the song was praising Bush then most of these libs would have a problem with it and would probably be the ones posting the articles. Especially if those songs praised the Iraq or Afghanistan wars and Bush as a liberator of those people in those countries. Public schools should be as politically neutral as possible.
