The only thing more surprising is all the people who want to put the Fed Gov in charge of more things.

The only people who want to put the federal government in charge of more things, work for the federal government.

This is literally a case of people profiting from the incompetence.

And, until that comes to an end, there won't be a solution and the problem will keep getting worse.

It's the Judiciary who's supposed to be helping us on this issue, but the Justices have their heads so far up their butts they can't see daylight, and besides not one of 'em has more of a spine than a jellyfish, so it looks like we've lost that particular check and balance entirely at this point.

Apparently you have note been paying attention to some of the more liberal minded folks around. A fair number of them are all about increase the Feds powers. Sadly there are also conservatives who feel the same just over different issues.
