Yeah, they really let him have it. Only 7 republicans voted in favor of a reprimand. It was called "very mild" and did not keep him from speaking. Here's what John Boehner said -

To put him through this on the House of the floor is unacceptable and is a partisan stunt." The double standard is ridiculous.

So wait... you were expecting or wanting it to be a non-partisan reprimand? That doesn't happen with Democrats or Republicans, or if it does, it's a vast minority for an event such as this. I'd venture to guess most Republicans agreed with Joe.

Perhaps if it were a bit more serious, the ethics panel would have convened - but it was not. What is ridiculous is 13 ethics violations by Charlie Rangel, and HE gets a reprimand (and not a censure or expulsion), and the man is still in Congress. Double standard indeed.

They are Republicans , maybe they don't want people talking about things they don't know about. lol
