Is Hamas a Terrorist group or an Insurgent group?

Israel has fought how many wars since it's birth? It's wars of survival have been uniformly successful, but its regional campaigns against irregular forces have been a mixed bag. (And we wonder why Israel's enemies are employing irregular tactics?) The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is very much active today. It may be in a period of relative quiet, but if you shut down the diplomatic process you will find that another Intifada erupts shortly.

Not exactly decisive victory.

The Arabs (be it nations like Iraq, Egypt and Syria), or individuals and groups (Hammas, PLO, PFLP, etc) have had a log history of failing when attacking the Jews in Israel.

Depending on how you count them, there have been between 7-12+ conflicts fought between Arab Forces, and Israel. And Israel has won all of them. And from day 1 they have been outnumbered and outgunned.

And historically, they are simply reverting to a style of warfare that has been the norm in the region for thousands of years. Other then the kingdoms of Israel and Judea, historically the region has been in a state of Anarchy. Little pieces of territory, either little more then city-states, or wandering nomads.

The last time before 1948 that the area was truely under self-rule was in 70CE, when the Herodian Dynasty of Judea was crushed by Rome. Ever since, it was a territory controlled by outsiders. And considered so worthless (other then Jerusalem and a few other holy sites) that it was never really even put under formal rule. Clans and tribes ruled pieces of land, and the outside conquerers found it easier to simply let them run their little areas.

So when looking historically, it is not surprising that the fighting in many ways is along tribal lines. Even the various groups (Hamas, PLO) tend to follow old tribal alliances. Raids, hit and run attacks, slaughter as a terror weapon, all are traditional means of warfare in the region.

The Arabs (be it nations like Iraq, Egypt and Syria)

I think Egyptians are Egyptians. and Syrians are Persians(?) Neither of those two nations/cultures are "Arab". Just saying, and I don't even know if I'm totally correct here.

Yes, you are totally correct.

Nope. On one you are wrong, the other both right and wrong for several reasons.

First, Syria is definately "Arab". In fact, this is directly from Wikipedia:

Syria today, whether Muslim, Christian or other, are therefore a thoroughly Arab people, and it is these Syrian Arabs, together with some 400,000 UNRWA Palestinian Arabs (Muslim, Christian or other) which make up over 90% of the population.

And while Egyptians are considered ethnically to be "Egyptians", they were also the major participant in the "Arab Liberation Army" (1948), the "United Arab Republic" (1958-1961), and the "Federation of Arab Republics" (1972-1977). In addition, they are still members of the "Arab League", and have been since it's founding in Alexandria in 1944.

So it can be honestly stated that while Egypt is not ethnically Arab, it is undoubtedly "Politically Arab".
