I'd say Arab envy and humiliation in the East, and thinly veiled proxy Anti-semitism in the West and elsewhere.

That's why someone CANNOT in fact:

One can explain why it shouldn't be such a target "In measured terms'.
Is it more Apartheid the Saudi Arabia?
More Brutal than Sudan.. or China for that matter (or Russians in Grozny or Afganistan or Georgia)?
Is it less democratic than anywhere? Are women oppressed?
It's citzens (Arab/Jewish, Black/White, etc etc) are free to stand in the middle of it's capital and yell "The Govt/PM Sucks" Unlike All it's neighbors.

If one wants to use "UNmeasured terms" they could better help you out.

Well, I don't run. And anybody who gets hostile while answering the question isn't really answering the question. Not that I didn't expect it to happen, but all they would be doing is illustrating that they are hostile, and not measured and reasoned, and don't help anything.

It being a Jewish state. The Europeans dislike Jews, and have mistreated the Jewish people for millenia. The State of Israel as a powerful force, makes the impotent former powers of Europe envious.
