As a Bush hater and someone who is against Global Domination and John McCain, i love a chance to jump on him over an issue.
But on this one, even i have to say "wait a minute".
Before being critical of Bush over this one, I would want to hear his reasons "WHY" he is against it.
Because the first thought that pops in my mind is this, "Does this open the door for POW's to sue us in our courts?"
I do want them to have the right to challenge their captivity in some type of court.
But I do not want to wind up having every single person we capture going to court and sueing us, while we provide public defenders and tie up thousands of days and millions of dollars.
I do not know enough about this area of the Law / Constitution, to be sure.
But it might be that Bush is not wrong on this one.
Where Bush is wrong is in opposing better benefits for those veterans so that they do not have to sue Iraq for their survival.
