Iraq had yellow cake uranium for "dirty bombs" for 20+ years.

So why was Iraq all of a sudden an "urgent threat" in 2003 requiring the US to rush to war?

Again, you fail to understand exactly what yellow cake is. The only way that Yellow cake could make a decent dirty bomb was if the proportion of natural uranium was sky high, which would be somewhat rare. Like I stated before, it would be easier (and likely cheaper) to simply harvest the radioactive material from glow in the dark clocks and watches to make a dirty bomb. More effective.

yellow cake is/can be part of the process to make "that" Bomb. did Iraq have that ability at the time of invasion, get real!

Did Saddam have a non Military need for the "yellow cake"? YES or NO?
Did he have the first nuke power plant after Israeli aircraft destroyed the Osirak nuclear reactor 1981?

It's not the first step. Yellow cake is produced after several mining and milling processes. And there really isn't any use of yellow cake outside of producing fissionable uranium. However, given Iraq's situation, they were nowhere near even producing an ounce of the necessary uranium. As stated before, it takes about 5 tons of the stuff utilizing the latest technology to make a critical mass. That ain't Iraq.

And to clarify your timeline, the Iranians did significant damage to the reactor during their war with Iraq.

Again, you seem to be missing the point!!

Why did Saddam have yellow cake? Why? Why did he need 500 TONS OF YELLOW CAKE?

Can you answer that question? What would Saddam be doing with 500 tons of toxic, radioactive material?

His motives are not that hard to figure out.
