It can get very hot. On top of that, Tel Aviv can be oppressively humid. That is why the city typically comes alive at around 9 PM during summertime. To escape the heat and humidity, many Tel Avivians spend their summer in Eilat. The humidity is much lower and the city is blessed with cool breezes that constantly blow in from across the Red Sea.
