Yes...since I joined I have added 28 new words to my little book.

When you are retired and pretty much stay at home most of the time, it does not give one much opportunity to expand in the first place.

That is one of the reasons I like DP so much, plus to have a discourse with people like you who are of a different view than I have.

That is the best way to expend the though process too.

Thank you for both.

I especially like it when it does not become an angry flame war, but just differing thoughts.

The gun forums I used to go too were a bit boring because we all thought the same way most of the time.

I used to go on a left wing forum , me being a left winger and all , and found the same sort of thing . It is much better to see how and what forms other peoples perceptions/views , preferably people of differing views , life experiences , cultures etc etc.

You learn a lot about yourself too in the process imo which is as enlightening as learning about the other people that make up the group. Fascinating stuff
