Kurdistan deserves an amicable divorce from Baghdad

Cuz the present situation for the whole of Kurdistan to be granted full independence is unrealistic.

So why single out Iraq?? Turkey has the biggest piece of the pie and looking at this map, I'd say that Iran has nearly the same size slice as Iraq, so why single Iraq?? What makes it so special??

So you dont think the US should be an independent nation? Put us back under the authority of the crown?

No. This has all been explained to you before.

trying to divide other countries is not honorable.

Because they are the ones currently moving forward with a referendum....

The only skin "the West" has in this, is stability, peace and the protection of the populations.

people have been killed because of the west.dont you ever see ?

Remedying wrongs two hundred years after the fact is a silly and pointless endeavor.

It depends on one's priorities, I guess.

After all those war crimes, terrorism, ethnic cleansing done by PKK(PYD) in Syria; What Maliki governments has , even though many warns by Turkey to USA and Maliki gov, caused in Iraq will repeat itself in Syria, thanks to Obama and USA sitting in comfortable chair and bringing democracy and peace into Iraq by handing it over to Shia Iran on a sliver plate.

Those war crimes, terrorism and ethnic cleansing are not cheap propaganda or weak voice in a talk; They are documented by Int. organisations like Amnesty int. or HRW.

If A country supports the PKK(PYD) on ground ignoring all those crimes, terrorism and ethnic cleansing, then The same country has to explain the difference between her and ISIS/PYD.

Those nasty Persians! They have so many cunning plans to take over the region it's hard to keep them straight.

As I recall, didn't the Turkish government make it illegal to speak Kurdish for a while back in the 1980s?

agreed, the kurds, a unified people, have lived divided in 4 countries. Most of them want an independent state; iraq is the best place to start followed by syria

What say you? Do you think the Kurds in northern Iraq should move forward with complete independence from Iraq?
I may disagree with the KDP (the ruling party in Northern Iraq (part of Kurdistan)) mainly because of their hostile actions with the PYD, YPG, PKK, but I do believe that Kurdistan in Northern Iraq should vote for complete independence from Iraq. The Kurds have shown that they are good partner when it comes to military affairs and protection of different sects of the population, but they have also been getting screwed economically by Baghdad. I hope the referendum moves forward.

I doubt the USA will ever support the PKK, for obvious reasons
