This article describes a frequent occurrence in Muslim countries:

For conducting a puja, Indians shunted out of Kuwait await salaries and belongings | The News Minute

Members of infidel religion are harassed or kicked out because their religious practices offend Islam. Some people belong to religions that require them to have idols, and Islam demands that idolators be repudiated, harassed and ejected. Islam says it's not just okay to do this, but demands that this be done.

So if Kuwait has laws which permit such things, then is Kuwait a "moderate Muslim country"? Can we say that the majority of Kuwaitis are moderate Muslims when they allow laws which do such things?

How can one credibly protest against discrimination against oneself even while aggressively discriminating against others?

We support Saudi Arabia and their primary export besides oil is religious hatred and bigotry. The Saudi's were rewarded with a top spot on the Human Rights council by the U.N. and the Saudi's celebrated the appointment by crucifying a man for being gay. As in literally putting him on a cross hanging by his limbs in the air.

These are our allies.

Ask that of areas in the US that outlaw or limit alcohol sales via "blue laws". ;)

Many laws are based primarily on (establishing?) the prevailing religion's views of what is "right" - e.g. no booze sales on the (established?) Sabbath. The US has Christmas (Christ mass?) as a national holiday (holy day?) - is that not at odds with not establishing an official national religious mindset?

I am not arguing that the degree of discrimination varies but that the underlying principle is alive and well inside many "free" nations.

Imagine if America prohibited the Quran but allowed the bible... think of the outrage?

Oh but if Saudi Arabia bans the bible it's o'okay...
