Re: Syria slams US-led coalition deadly strike against troops as 'act of aggression'

 No offense taken. I can post you older links than that demonstrating US intensions of striking president Assad's forces. It is literally no secret that Syrian regime change has been Obama's desire from day one of the Syrian protests, and that Syrian regime change is a long held US ambition. What's different here as compared to Iraq and Libya is that Russia has said no and they mean it.

I agree, my point was Obama's words have not changed, but his actions do not support his words. (Does he really mean them, or is it all just BS???) It seems his intent re Syria is ever-changing.

Yes, Russia has said no and they mean it....and I believe them.

Re: Syria slams US-led coalition deadly strike against troops as 'act of aggression'

[h=3]A U.N. resolution on Syria is shattered — and Russia is to blame[/h]
Russian forces bomb a Syrian marketplace two days after a Security Council measure prohibited such action.

This shows the contempt Putin has for the UN in general, and for their resolutions.

IMO, the UN is a spineless political organization, and I'm sure Putin feels the same way. Like the article I had just posted above, his actions here highlight the dbl-dealing, and behind the scenes meddling all sides are constantly engaged in re the Mid-East, (and the world).

The rarely mentioned fact that the permanent members of the UN Security Council are also the world's largest weapon's suppliers is ironic, and that they have been for decades is a reality that few people even consider, or are willing to accept.

Also, Putin has never said that he would take ISIS on, and/or defeat them...his goal is to keep Assad in power, regardless of who the enemy is/maybe.

Russia`s main goal is to defeat terrorism and save syrian civilians.
Since the beginning of the Russian aerial campaign in Syria, Russian warplanes have carried out 5,662 sorties, including 145 sorties carried out by missile-carrying strategic aircraft and long-range bombers, 97 launches of cruise missiles both sea and land based have been carried out. Over 100 days of the operation conducted by the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria, 217 populated areas and over 1,000 square kilometers were freed from terrorists."
Due to Russian airstrikes destroying terrorist command centers and supply channels in Syria, terrorists started to lack fuel, weapons and supplies.
Russian warplanes hit only verified terrorist targets in Syria after data is verified through several channels. Strikes are not carried out in case of risk for lives of civilians. This is one of the main differences between the Russian anti-terrorist campaign in Syria and that of the US-led coalition as the Pentagon may approve a decision to carry out airstrikes in an area if the number of civilian casualties does not exceed 50 people.
Besides, Russia has decided to conduct humanitarian operations in Syria.Russian Il-76 aircraft have already delivered 22 tonns of humanitarian aid to the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor.

The article posted above contradicts your statement. Civilian lives were risked, and taken by this bombing attack.

The US had flown 15,000 sorties, but dropped bombs on only 25% of these sorties, mostly due to their very restrictive Rules Of Engagement. (An incredible waste of Military power, and taxpayer $$$.)

Obama was unwilling to strike oil trucks because, "civilians may be driving them".

Re: Syria slams US-led coalition deadly strike against troops as 'act of aggression'

Let's see. It's a war. They must have attacked or threatened us. No. We are the aggressors attempting to overthrow a sovereign Nation.

A dictatorship is not a sovereign nation. Sovereignty is the property of the people. When people do not have a voice in their authority the nation is not sovereign.

What you mean to say is: ...to overthrow a sovereign dictator and, through democracy, create a sovereign nation.

Pretending a dictatorship is the same thing as a people with control of their political destiny (a sovereign nation) is a political ploy or evidence of the lack of a concept of national sovereignty.

Let's review:

Sovereign: having control over one's political destiny
Nation: a people

Can you now see why a dictatorship is not a sovereign nation?

Assad is the ISIS oil broker that is a proven fact, ISIS was created by Assad, Hussein, and the KGB all of its leadership and founders are former Ba'ath. Russia and Assad are ISISs closest ally which is why they refuse to target them and only target the rebel groups opposed to them and of course dropping nerve gas, barrel bombs, and cluster bombs on densely populated city blocks.

We know the names of the Baathist scum brokering ISIS oil and they are being placed under sanction:

A Syrian businessman described as the "middleman" for oil deals between ISIS and Bashar al-Assad's regime will be targeted for European Union sanctions on Saturday.

The listing of George Haswani, the owner of HESCO engineering company, sheds more light on financial links between Syria's regime and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or Isil or Islamic State or Daiesh).

A large majority of Russia’s military strikes in Syria have not been aimed at the Islamic State group or jihadists tied to al-Qaida, and have instead targeted the moderate Syrian opposition, the US State Department said on Wednesday.

'More than 90%' of Russian airstrikes in Syria have not targeted Isis, US says | World news | The Guardian

The coalition has killed 3000 people in its air strikes only 162 were civilians; whereas, the Russians have killed 370 people and 127 were civilians, not only are the Russian pigs not targeting ISIS they are slaughtering civilians at an alarming rate.

Let's review. Syria about 8,000 miles away from US borders. Syria has not attacked us. Syria has not invited us. We helped Egypt set up a military dictatorship. We helped Libya set up a Nation of death, mayhem, and destruction. We helped Honduras get rid of duly elected President. We kidnapped the President of Haiti to install a puppet. We helped the Iraqis by killing about a million of them. We helped the Afghanis by killing lots of them. We have been complicit in funding, arming and training ISIS rebels and we call them "moderates," although a "rose by any other name will smell the same." Your favorite actors, NED, USAID, and the CIA initiated the protests in Syria that required a strong military response to prevent a Ukrainian style debacle. Why is it that when Nations hear, "We're from the USA and we're here to help you," they respond, "No, thank you, we don't want any." We are hegemonic aggressors in Syria and that is without doubt. We have invaded and bombed with aircraft and now we have boots on the ground in Syria. No authorization from anyone. The worst part is that the majority of people in Syria like Bashar Assad and support him.

You're thinking of the Honduran Supreme Court.

We kidnapped the President of Haiti to install a puppet.

We neither kidnapped nor installed anyone. He fled on a US aircraft because the rebels were closing in to chop him to pieces, but I guess if you can't trust the word of Aristide then who can you trust?

We helped the Iraqis by killing about a million of them.

No the majority were killed by the insurgency supported by your beloved Assad.

We helped the Afghanis by killing lots of them.

A) The majority were killed by the Taliban and AQ.

B) they attacked us first, AQ was part and parcel to the Taliban government, they had a seat on their ministry of defense, they formed brigades in the Taliban military, and the Taliban gave them safe have from which to train for and launch attacks against the US.
