If the Bush-Cheney gang had not overthrown Saddam Hussein would the world not have to deal with the mess that is now in the ME?

And why is the US hell bent on on getting rid of Assad whom the Russians seek to keep in power? What is going on here? People are now believing that what has been happening in the ME and Europe is the result of what the Bush-Cheney gang has done in that part of the world!

Well, it began before Bush/Cheney and continued after them. USFP for a few decades has been designed to keep the ME in chaos. And as we look about at the region, it's been largely successful.
