i watched this documentary today and i find it quot interesting and it's really related to our recent discussion about Palestinian groups and the violence there. it provide you a good insight.

you can watch or download it here,

a brief introduction about documentary.

Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land uncovers distortion in U.S. media that reinforce false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This video explains how - via manipulated language, framing and context - the Israeli occupation of the West Bank & Gaza remains hidden in our news. Worse still, the Israeli colonization of the “Occupied Palestinian Territories” comes across in distorted American media as “defensive” rather than “offensive.” This celebrated documentary charges U.S. journalists with complicity in Israel's PR campaign. [ Rick Steves – well-known travel guide, host & author – cited this video as his “eye opener.” He admitted being “duped” by Israeli propaganda until watching Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land ]

And how exactly a 2004 documentary is relevant to the current WB, Gaza, Israel situation ...?!?!?.......
btw I'm still waiting for you to start a thread about Hamas not being a terrorist organisation, and waiting, and waiting.....

Fallen.

it's because you didn't watch it.
it is even relevant about Hamas and the people commit the attacks.

Just watched bits of it right now.
It doesn't change the fact that 2004 situation has nothing to do with current WB, Gaza, Israel problems.
If you believe that the region looks like it looked in 2004, you literally know nothing about the region or the conflict.

Watched 17 min and 40 sec, of the movie, few things:
a. If you believe that the region looks like it looked in 2004 and the current problems are the same now and in 2004, you literally know nothing about the region or the conflict.
b. Next time you make me watch a video try to make sure that the views presented in he video are balanced and are actually worth listening to, because when a kid like Seth Ackerman tries to express his obviously very "well educated" and "knowledgeable" views and position on the conflict and politics...you're done.

Cheers,
Fallen.

Rick Steves writes a travel blog for Puffington and just spent a (whole!) week in Palestine, according to google.

you guys are free to watch trustworthy medias like fox-news!

You consider Huffington to be trustworthy media? I think they have some articles on the Iranian regime that you might wanna take a look at.

Hhhh...
actually I do watch Fox and read articles from NRO, but contrary to you, I also read and listen to left-winged media sources.
Moreover, knowing quite a few languages allows me to read news and compare sources from different countries - thus, I get a more or less a clear understanding of what really happens in the world.

However, apparently for you, kids like Seth Ackerman are the only possible "truthful" source of information, meaning - good luck living in your fairy land!
Hope the green trolls aren't bugging you too much...lol

i don't know the guy or the producer, you see the scenes and parts of realities. it doesn't matter if Bush is the producer or schwarzenegger! that's why call it documentary!

you read other sources?! like the way you watch this documentry? before opening the link you posted this:

Calling something a documentary doesn't confer accuracy or factual content. The bias in this turd is every bit as extreme as the bias they claim to be pointing out.

you mean the scenes showed in documentary, parts of fox news or list of US vetoes in UN, are made-up?!

i would be really happy if you can prove their facts are false or anything else.

Confirmation bias does not a proper confirmation make.

There are tons of "documentaries" about lots of stuff, it doesn't mean they are all worth watching...

EDIT: I'm still waiting to hear how a 2004 "documentary" has anything to do with the situation on the ground today, i"ll even give you few hint.
No Hamas -> Hamas
IDF in Gaza -> No IDF in Gaza
Closed down regional division of WB -> Almost no such division today
Intifada -> No Intifada
.....i can continue, but it probably wouldn't matter to you, because the 2004 "documentary" is of course, a better source for updated/relevant information.

just look at your criticzes about this documentry:

1.why is it produced in 2004!
2.why a kid talk in it
3.Rick Steves writes a travel blog!
4.Confirmation bias

this is your major comments about this documentary without any mention to its CONTENT!

i guess in a real discussion you criticize someone worlds and arguments and not his motivation or his age or any other personal matter. this is first step to have a meaningful discussion.

You try to pose a 2004 highly biased "documentary" made by highly biased and sometimes unprofessional commentators as a "new perspective" on the conflict.
However, it doesn't present any "new perspectives", only the bias of those who made it, moreover it is incredibly outdated and has nothing to do with the current situation on the ground.

After theses problems were pointed out to you,
instead of trying to back the claims of the people in the video and their relevance to today's situation, you resorted to calling us all fox news watchers.....good job, great argument.

just labels, 1.highly biased 2.unprofessional commentators 3.incredibly outdated

and you suppose in respond i should develop a rational argument? whenever your comments criticize its content and has an argument and not just labels, I'm ready to have a meaningful discussion.

# Only views of those who support the "new perspective" (and quite anti Israeli) are presented = biased. (check)
# Interviewing a kid like Seth Ackerman on politics and the Israeli - Palestinian conflict = unprofessional. (check)
# The video is from 2004. It's 2013 today = outdated. (check)

Seems, we've so far been right in every crit that we made about it....You on the other hand are not even trying to defend the "documentary", but just keep restating the same "You're all fox watchers..." crappy "argument".
It is a debating site, be prepared that people would call bs on your "sources" and "ideas". If all you can say to defend your sources' credibility and accuracy is "You're all fox news watchers..." nobody would take you or/and your claims seriously.

And i'm still waiting to hear an explanation of how a 2004 video has anything to do with the current Israeli-Palestinian issues.

# Interviewing a kid like Seth Ackerman on politics and the Israeli - Palestinian conflict = unprofessional. (check) i guess there were dozen of people interviewing and you hear this cute boy only?! and label the documentary as unprofessional commentators.
# The video is from 2004. It's 2013 today = outdated. (check) what does it mean?! so i guess you never read a book or watch a movie that is released before you decided to read or watch one!

And i'm still waiting to hear an explanation of how a 2004 video has anything to do with the current Israeli-Palestinian issues.

it's simple, because this documentary focused the way west medias cover Israel-Palestine conflict and the causation of violence and suicide attacks. so let me know, first, how after 2004 all this issues are changed completely that a 2004 documentary has nothing to do with them, and second we assume everything has changed and we lived in another planet after 2004, why we shouldn't learn and know about the issues in that period?!

Let me ask you a question and shift gears on this. You obviously have strong feelings on this topic, and coming from Iran I think you might have a unique perspective. So my question is this: What would you like to see happen in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? I'd urge you to be realistic and concrete.

good to hear that, can you be more accurate in your question?

Sure. What I'm driving at is that I'm interested in knowing how you would like to see the conflict resolved. What particular outcome would you like to see come to pass, what specifics does that entail?
