The drone was unveiled on Thursday during a ceremony attended by Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi.

“This aircraft with its stealth quality can avoid detection by the enemy,” he added.

High altitude and long flight range are two other distinguishing features of the new Iranian UAV.

PressTV - Iran unveils indigenous stealth reconnaissance, combat drone

Iran has unveiled a supposed stealth drone. Pandora's box has been open.

I was expecting to see a weather balloon with a few guns attached to it. This exceeded expectations, we should probably resume our proliferation of nuclear weapons in order to deter this heinous and technologically advanced threat.

EDIT: They do have some drones, i don't know how sophisticated they are compared to US's or IDF's but they do try to launch them into Israel through Hezbollah.
Israel shoots down Hezbollah drone

Fallen.

The fact that you personally signature your posts with "Fallen," and the fact that you did so right after describing a drone shot down, for some reason is really funny to me

By who the pentagon?

By someone, other than Iran, who has examined the equipment or has seen test flights etc. See, Iran has this habit of presenting cardboard models as new tech.

Was the fake jet fighter so long ago?

First of all, lowering oneself to the level of captive animal, as the case is for Iranians, and subjecting oneself to (and supporting even) the propaganda arm of a totalitarian dictatorship (not to mention responsible for Hamas, Hez, Assad and other major terrorist organizations around the globe) is bad form. Second, well... fake jet fighter so please spare me the indignation.

Remember the pics of the Iranian missile test?

I dont think it has yet...

That's apparently not very stealth.
Ok...

Anyway, what does the Pandora's Box comment mean?
That since we started to build up and use these drones more and more countries are starting to get them and use them and i suspect a "drone race" to be the next being thing in arms.

If the US didn't use drones, others would not build them?

Ok...

I think witnessing the end of the technology gap between the West and the rest of the world, which existed for centuries, in our lifetimes is not something that has fully sunk in yet....................

Who knows

Who knows?

This is like claiming that if Ford had not mass produced cars, no one else would have - ever. That's a nonsense argument.

Perhaps it will sink in when Iran produces a new fighter jet that's not made of cardboard. Oh, wait... that's not gonna happen because they're gettin' bombed.

I fully believe that there is a 100% chance of the US bombing Iraq........fyi....................

Might be true might not be.

Oh jesus here we go again... Knew i would get **** using a Iranian news outlet reporting on Iranian news. :lamo

I'm intimately familiar with PressTV, al-Alam, etc. PressTV in particular is useful if you want a prism onto how the Iranian government and political classes view regional political situations, and also if you delve into domestic stories it provides a window on the country. There are some good reporters are PressTV but they are heavily restricted in their control of the narrative they have been given. When it comes to stories like this they are usually trash, just like self-reported stories on their nuclear program.
