Now, come on, they're not just talking about sex -- they're talking about pre-marital sex:

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — A report given to a high-level advisory group in Saudi Arabia claims that allowing women in the kingdom to drive could encourage premarital sex, a rights activist said Saturday.
The ultraconservative stance suggests increasing pressure on King Abdullah to retain the kingdom's male-only driving rules despite international criticism.

I realize that makes it only slightly less absurd, but nevertheless it does make more sense given the cultural context into which that report was released.

I'd venture a guess than women who drive are more likely to have sex than women who don't. I think it's common knowledge that men who know how to drive are a bit more popular with the ladies, too. Think the walk of shame is bad at your apartment? Think about having to walk 8 blocks there and back!

I think that in Saudi a woman that drives will more likely end up single, why take an independent one when you have so many submissive ones

Hmm - ok . . . So if women driving leads to more premarital sex. Then men driving leads to . . . what? . . . more premarital sex! Of course, naturally.

So I say - to cut back on men having premarital sex . . . they, too, should be disallowed to drive.

Unless they're suggesting that premarital sex is engaged in by women alone and men never do it - no never.

And we try to have proper political discourse with these ignorant buffoons.
