The Libertarian Party, Replacing the Republicans

I think you 're all wrong. The republicans need to get back to their roots and practice what they preach. Small government, storng defense and lower taxes. They need to articulate the Constitution and the 10th amendment. They need to show the American people how these policies can restore the...

The Libertarian Party, Replacing the Republicans

To even begin to be serious about replacing the republicans, the libertarians need something that as of yet I have not seen. Candidates. To my knowledge they do not have any well-known, national candidates. Ron Paul is a little known congressman who inspires little enthusiasm outside his tiny...

    Arlen Specter Switching Parties Today?

Durbun has capitualted so Arlen would stop crying (and voting with the republicans). Durbin is stepping down as chairman of the House Judiciary Subcomittee on Crime and Drugs and giving it to Arlen. I'm sure Arlen will do a fine job. But don't be surprised if you see a tear when Obama presents...

Is this a "strong argument" for banning 'assault weapons'?

Oh and I meant 500 for the 9mm and another 500 for the AK.

I also thought 500 rounds would do - but as a stash. Range ammo would be over and above that. But at home, I've got a little over 500 rounds. I also agree that if I have to use all that ammo, I'm likely to be dead before I'm out of bullets.

Who would you rather vote for in 2012?

OK, I take it back. If he runs, I'll probably vote for Mark Sanford in 2012.

Is this a "strong argument" for banning 'assault weapons'?

I guess I'd have to say no to the poll. I just bought an AK-47. It's a semi-automatic and thus legal. Do I need it? No. So why did I buy it? One, because I feared that unless I got it now, I might never be able to get one. Two, my gut tells me something is brewing out there that may overflow...

Who would you rather vote for in 2012?

I wouldn't vote for Obama. The republicans are likely to nominate another doofus. So, I'd write in Ross Perot.

Welcome Groucho. We've had some fun at CG since you were banned. I changed ny avatar to you and said that I would curse some of the more leftie posters. Lots more of your friends changes their avatars too. Then of course to ruin it, everybody started changing so that everyone who posted had your...

    Arlen Specter Switching Parties Today?

Specter got his real democrat welcome yesterday. Harry Reid had promised Specter that he would retain his seniority on all committees after switching to the democrats. But the cats wouldn't be herded yesterday. The dems passed a resolution that put Specter at the end of the seniority line for...

    100 days, 100 mistakes

I thnk I'm going to work as hard as I can to defeat every incumbant I can find but in my spare time I'll watch with glee as the democrats eat each other alive.

How to Revive the Republican Party

The military cuts and the feeble attampts at responses like the baby aspirin factory boondoggle showed our enemy that we were weak and unwilling to fight. In the middle east, weakness is death. Just ask Israel. Every concession the Israeli's have made (showing weakness) has been met with...

How to Revive the Republican Party

The Gingrich Congress kept Clinton in check. That's why he didn't do much damage other than when he had his pants down. The surplus was primarily due to the dot com bubble and we know what happened to that (I still own my JDSUniphase stock). Clinton's dismantling of the military was not a smart...

How to Revive the Republican Party

I agree. We haven't had a conservative candidate since Reagan. We also need to paint our own picture of ourselves. We've been real good at standing back and letting the MSM define the republican party. And there have been enough RINOs like Specter, Snow and Collins to lend credence to the MSMs...
