Hey! I just saw your recent topic in the Economics subforum on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. I wrote an article about that and two other major trades agreements (Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership and the Trade in Services Agreement) in July that you may find interesting. Good choice there. I'm definitely a DSA sympathizer. Currently only a member of Socialist Alternative for now.

Was just thinking about how much unnecessary partisanship and trivial bickering there is within the Left - really stifles the movement's progress and all.

Hey buddy, just thought I'd shoot you a mail, if you're honestly interested in going, this is the best company

Koryo Tours - Tours & Tour Dates

I was in contact with them by email in 2011 and they're brilliant, verified.

It is pricey but if I ever go, it'll be with them.

About TheDemSocialist
Graduate with a Political Science degree and a minor in History. I consider myself a democratic socialist.

Socialism is something you just cant force upon people. I strongly disagree with the idea of forcing it upon people with a dictatorship. I believe in freedom of speech, freedom of expression, the right to assemble, and the right to bear arms!

"Privatization is a neoliberal and imperialist plan. Health cant be privatized because it is a fundamental human right, nor can education, water, electricity and other public services. They cant be surrendered to private capital that denies the people from their rights." - Hugo Chávez

If Obama Were A Socialist

by TheDemSocialist on 11-20-11 at 02:49 PM
If Obama were a socialist, he would:

Nationalize the banks and insurance companies under democratic workers control and management, and compose the board of directors so that 1/3rd would be elected by bank workers, 1/3rd by the trade unions, and 1/3rd from the government. He would provide compensation for banks and other companies only in cases of proven need to pension funds, 401k funds (and similar retirement funds), workers and retired workers.

He would make factories

We Are Made As Hell! WAKE UP!

by TheDemSocialist on 09-26-11 at 09:35 PM

Our media is controlled by corporations. Extremely powerful organizations, far more powerful than one person, but with none of the culpability. Our government is controlled by corporations. Organizations with a lot of money, whose only aim is to make more, little people be damned. And we wonder why our government is broken. We’re mad as hell – nothing is working. We can’t find a decent job, hell, any job at all. So who’s fault is that? Surprise.

Cuba. Again. Still. Forever.

Cuba. Again. Still. Forever.

William Blum, Anti-Empire Report, USA, 6 January 2009

More than 50 years now it is. The propaganda and hypocrisy of the American mainstream media seems endless and unwavering. They can not accept the fact that Cuban leaders are humane or rational. Here's the Washington Post of December 13 writing about an American arrested in Cuba:

"The Cuban government has arrested an American citizen working on contract for

NAFTA And Immigration

Immigration Flood Unleashed by NAFTA's Disastrous Impact on Mexican Economy
by Roger Bybee and Carolyn Winter

The recent ferment on immigration policy has been so narrow that it has excluded the real issue: family-sustaining wages for workers both north and south of the border. The role of the North American Free Trade Agreement and misnamed 'free trade' has been scarcely mentioned in the increasingly bitter debate over the fate of America's 11 to 12 million illegal aliens.
