The 30% tax credit is applicable to anything that improves your energy efficiency. You can find out more about this here:

I couldn't wait 50 years, so in 84 I built my own passive solar house. Without any technology or additional cost, just using passive solar design features, I have cut my heating and cooling needs by 50% for the last 26 years. We are also about to take advantage of the Democrat's 30% tax credit to buy and self install a 1 Kw solar panel system.

Our civilization may go down in flames, but I will at least have the satisfaction that I did everything I could to preserve our resources and environment for future generations.
  10. Agreed about Carter. He made some poor decisions as President, but he certainly had the foresight when it came to energy. Bottom line, as of today, we don't have any alternative source of energy/fuel that is everything that oil had been. And like Global Warming, all the sign will be staring society in the face, yet so many will be in denial. That is human nature, unfortunately. Some in the doc think we are 50 years away from good solid alternative technology. I hope they are wrong.

It’s clear to me that if members of the U.S. Senate refuse to change the laws to reduce gun violence, then we need to change to members of the U.S. Senate. –Gabrielle Giffords

ASUS Sucks!

by Middleground on 04-17-13 at 10:32 AM
If you're thinking about buying an ASUS product, I implore you to think again.

Last October, my brother and I bought an ASUS table for my mother on her birthday. We went to Best Buy with the idea of getting her a Samsung or ipad, but the salesperson insisted that we look at the ASUS Transformer tablet. It seemed great, and, according to the sales clerk, was the best tablet on the market. Furthermore, it was cheaper than the other brands, so we were pleased walking out of the store!
