I think I may know what the problem is. The tavern is a sub-forum, and I think it requires a request, just like some of the private groups do. Look on your profile page, left column, down toward the bottom of the page. You may see some *permission groups* listed there. If so, then click to join the group. I think either Josie or Mega has to approve, but there should be no problem. Give it a try and let me know.
