SAPD officer shot, killed near police HQ downtown

California is not soft on crime i live here matter a fact i live in kern county. Which had the highest per capita persons shot by cops. Very corrupt but not soft. California is an absolute mess. Honestly it needs to fall off into the ocean. Cali is not american what so ever. Its sad and over ran by the very kind of persons we are talking about.

California was a red state at one time, if you can believe that. Now that its an overpopulated blue state, its the best example I can think of for why liberals mess up a good thing.

The state is becoming soft on crime. Proposition 47 in 2014 made it where a person can steal anything they want, and as long as the value of what they stole is less than $950, they will do no jail time.
Plus prop 47 let 10,000 criminals out of prison, and into places like Kern County.

Unbelievably, the voters passed Proposition 57 two weeks ago, which will let even more prisoners out. Some lawyers believe the wording in Prop 57 will actually let rapists out early on good behavior. Brown is a piece of ****. He's the one who sponsored 57.

Absolutely. It sucks that officers have to be on high alert at all times, but that's the reality.
The Hispanic guy that killed the Sheriffs' Deputy in California had a long criminal history. He's a documented gang member, shouldn't be out in society period. But California is becoming increasingly soft on crime again, just like in the 1970s when Jerry Brown was first governor. No history has been learned so CA is doomed to repeat it now.

Correct. The Millennials never knew about Brown from the 70s, and what a POS he was then, because they weren't alive and probably not even taught in in schools. Brown followed Reagan and that was a travesty for sure. I'm just happy that my Police Academy Diploma has Ronnie's signature on it and not Brown's.
The last decent Gov. in Calif was George Deukmejian.

Police officers should not have to fear attacks like this. Yes there are those bad apple and i feel they should be held to an even higher standard of punishment. But the officers who truly do the job for what it is. I hope people step back and look at all this soon and wake up before more people die. It is truly heartbreaking and all these people if that's what you want to call them who support the actions and they need to be treated as such as terrorist.

Jerry Brown has always been a POS! He's the worst type of liberal...Kate Brown in Oregon, is just as bad.

I heard all about it from my dad lol. He followed the news his whole life, so I got a really good history lesson from him. He's also born and raised here. Politics were big in my home growing up. Then I started reading about it as I got older.

I heard all about Rose Byrd, repealing the death penalty, and Browns unpopularity after the voters got fed up. Now he's doing the same thing all over again.

Yes he is and this time with a bunch of liberal mopes and Latino's, because he is catering to them like nobody's business. He's very wealthy now and like most politicians, only cares about the Power!
I was born and raised there and still miss it...mostly for the weather. But as a long time gun owner, the laws have become draconian.
As of Jan. 1st, people will have to get a background check on every box of ammo they buy. Totally asinine, because it will not stop crime at all. As a matter of fact, I predict crime will increase due to Black Market sales.
Anyone set up for reloading should have all the supplies they need, laid in before that date, so they can reload for years to come.

We're on the same wave length. Nothing this state does to fix its problems actually works. They think that making it harder for regular people to get ammo is going to lower crime, at the same time that they're letting the actual criminals walk out of jail! They are idiots and probably on too much medication to know it.
Plus they won't do anything to stop the flow of illegals. So now normal people will have to jump through hoops, while the criminals flood the state from all sides. Jerry Brown should be in a nut house!

Absolutely....as well as all the people who voted him into office!

I had a reply but dont know where it went...lol and i compleatly agree with you. As far as the laws. But this states system is so corrupt is scary really. Have you seen the 5 part story on americas deadliest county. By the gaurdian. Now add to that the 30 plus cops arrested by the feds for crimes they should be held more accountable for. So this state is criminals policing criminals with guns and dont have to face any discipline because more criminals get to decide they are innocent. So then they take our right to protect ourselves away. California creates the 33 over populated prisons of criminals and want to build more.

Lol I've done that too. I think some of my best posts disappeared into thin air here. Seems to only happen on my phone.

Which county was the deadliest?

Yes, there are dirty cops here too. I've seen it first hand. Most aren't dirty though, and the majority are doing the job to the best of their abilities.

How do we lower the number of criminals we have while adding to the overall population? We're not getting people who obey the laws, we're getting more people who are joining gangs, selling drugs, etc.

Otis Tyrone McKane....alleged cop killer.

The suspect in the murder of a San Antonio police detective was arrested Monday afternoon.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said that 31-year-old Otis Tyrone McKane was taken into custody without incident at around 4:30 p.m. local time.

McManus said authorities had pulled over a car McKane was a passenger in on Interstate 10, on the eastern edge of San Antonio. The car was being driven by a woman and a 2-year-old child was also in the vehicle. It was not immediately clear what connection McKane had to the woman and child.

This was deliberate, premeditated murder. And the murder of a police officer is an especially heinous crime, because it is an attack on civil order. I hope this person is arrested, tried, and if convicted, put to death as soon as possible.

Of course you do. Because you're obsessed with race.

No, I'm really not. Since we have about a dozen blacks in our entire county, I rarely think about race in my daily life.

But when the glaring facts keep rearing their ugly heads and these bozos continue to kill at will ....in cold blood, I can see it plain as day and comment on it. Your failure to do that, illustrates your own bias and you had plenty of opportunity in this thread to make a decent statement.

You on the other hand instead of making an intelligent comment, defending the police in this thread or showing any compassion for the dead officers.....in ANY thread.......choose to rag on me. I submit your hate is showing! I'd say you are obsessed with me, because of that hate. Go hump the leg of someone else.

And Hillary can have a 40 year criminal career...lie her ass off....and did lose some votes.
