Residents of at least two cities in Texas are complaining that they voted for Donald Trump only to see the voting machine switch their ballot to Hillary Clinton.
Early voting for the 2016 presidential election started yesterday for people in some areas who have been given the opportunity to avoid the long lines on November 8.
However, in Amarillo, a woman was shocked to see her ballot flip from Republican to Democrat.

Inforwars. The conspiracy website that is not close to even possibly being considered a credible/reliable source.

When you cite Infowars, you lose any semblance of credibility you might've had.

There is a significant Democrat presence in Texas, especially in Austin. You can bash my threads all you want, but then you are one of the deniers of the Truth. liberals are useless, I figured that out when I was 25 years old. ;)

Yeah but Mickey, two anecdotal hearsay reports are not much in the way of credible evidence.

And If the women believe they are legit, it's very likely they made an error in the mechanics of voting; this happened often enough when I was in the precincts with 'non-lever' type machines. There will always be some minor irregularity with 130M cast.

Yes, Zero Hedge and Gateway Pundit have picked up on this. Significantly, the Statesman (formerly known as the Austin American Statesman) and the Texas Tribune have not. Am about to check the Houston Chronicle.

I'll believe this when I read about it from one of those sources, not Twitter.

I claim responsibility. If you select straight GOP ticket, then vote farther down the ballot, the Pres vote changes back to the default name = Hillary Clinton.

I guess that some people don't know what straight ticket means.

Yeah - when I was in the game back in the day, there always were a few voters who made mistakes in the voting process at every precinct I ever was at. It's unavoidable.

But it is possible there could be bias built-in by the election board though, in the way the mistakes will likely fall-out. These complaints were litigated from time-to-time, since my city was a Dem Machine and they controlled the election board.

Potter County Judge: Nothing wrong with voting machines
ERROR: The requested URL could not be retrieved

Potter County Judge Nancy Tanner issued a statement Tuesday denying social media claims that local voting machines are changing votes.

“There is nothing wrong with any of the machines we use for voting,” Tanner said in her statement. “They do not flip your vote. They do not flip parties. Humans do that.”

Tanner said she verified with Potter County Elections Administrator Melynn Huntley that there have been no problems with the machines.

In Randall County there has been one reported incident of an irregularity, Tanner said.

A voter said they cast a straight-ticket ballot and, when they hit the vote button, it flipped parties. It was reported to an election official. The ballot was canceled and the voter allowed to vote again on another machine, Tanner said.

“I urge the voters to take the opportunity to review their ballot before they hit the vote button,” Tanner said. “As everyone knows, our fingers don’t always do what our brain tells them.”

Tanner also said that voters cannot request a paper ballot as is being reported by many people making posts on social media.

Local voting machines are both calibrated and tested daily.

POTTER COUNTY, TX (KFDA) -

Potter County is taking extra precautions after hackers managed to break into their online voting information webpage.

Officials said they found out about the incident two weeks ago when an employee used Google to visit "potter-county-votes-dot-com."

The employee noticed a notation stating the website may be hacked.

The Potter County voting administration reported the breach and IT technicians confirmed the site had been hacked.

"What my IT department tells me is when someone hits that file another website gets the boost so it gets kind of credit for it hitting one of their webpages," Potter County Elections Administrator Melynn Huntley said. "It's a way that hackers boost their own websites and their own webpages."

Since the breach, the IT department has been working to add protective software and is constantly monitoring the page.

"Occasionally there taking it [the voting site] down so they can look into the back of the files but we are trying to keep it up as much as possible because there's good information on there," Huntley said. "Voters can find sample ballots, how to vote by mail, and where to vote all important information the voters are looking for."
