This has to be the most mind-boggling thread ever. Even the lawyers for the child victims of this kiddie crap agree this was good police work.

Lawyers for child pornography victims expressed surprise that the FBI would agree to such tactics – in part because agents had rejected them in the past – but nonetheless said they approved. “These are places where people know exactly what they’re getting when they arrive,” said James Marsh, who represents some of the children depicted in some of the most widely-circulated images. “It’s not like they’re blasting it out to the world.”

Yea. Some people are so caught up on their "libertarian" "**** the government" "anti establishment" idiocy that they cannot uncork their ass by removing their own head. I'm not really a fan of the government either. But this is one of the few noble functions they serve. And the harder they hit these bastards, the better off our society will be.

I think that's too much of an assumption.
Sure, the primary "users" are pedo's but it's not entirely impossible that it couldn't make it's way back to a person's community and embarrass the hell out of them.
I still don't think it right regardless.

Sometimes, the cops buy drugs to catch dope dealers. Sometimes they pose as hitmen to catch some nut trying to have a spouse murdered. Sometimes they pose as terrorists to infiltrate a network of them. Sometimes they keep a raided kiddie porn site open for two more weeks to catch some perverts.

I hope they do more of it.
