FBI Source to Fox News: Agents Are 'Livid' About Clinton-Lynch Meeting[W:140]

Re: FBI Source to Fox News: Agents Are 'Livid' About Clinton-Lynch Meeting

There are some us codes that if found guilt of violating prohibits the person from ever holding office.

Really?

And what does that have to do with what we are discussing here?

Are we talking about any of those "US codes?"

Which ones?

And most importantly, since the assertion was that someone CHARGED with a felony would be prohibited from running for the presidency...what US code indicates that a person CHARGED with a felony is prohibited from running?

If she were to be indicted I think that would make her candidacy politically impossible.

I think if she were indicted...the Democratic Party might likely abandon her...or she might voluntarily withdraw.

I think it HIGHLY UNLIKELY that anything she did will amount to an indictable offence...but I agree, if indicted, she would become a loser.

But that is NOT what Ludin asserted...which is: If indicted, she will not be qualified to run for the presidency.

I would love to hear your opinion on what was asserted, Jack.

Does an indictment preclude her from running?

Well, potential crimes she may be charged with are defined in the US code. As for being charged, I think you are correct. It would take a conviction to keep her out of office. However, being charged with any of the various crimes will probably end her campaign. I doubt the FBI would recommend indictment at this level unless their case was iron clad.

I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think an indictment alone precludes running for POTUS. Innocent until proven guilty and all that. I repeat, however, that I think an indictment would be politically toxic.

I agree with you completely here, Bootlace...which is essentially what I have been saying all along.

Fair enough

Toxic beyond imagination, Jack.

I agree.

I do not think it is going to happen...and I think if they do not indict, the general public will view all this as one more example of the right crying "wolf."

If no indictment comes...and I expect that no indictment will come...I am convinced she will win the presidency in November.

We shall see. I think an indictment is 50/50.

yes... for sure hillary would have less of a chance to win than a unknown that they can run in and win more easily.. they may try to stop her and run in a person with less proof of being a criminal
