Yeah? Timothy McVeigh was strongly influenced by the "Christian Identity" movement. Are we supposed to point to all mainstream "Christianity" because of that?
Look, guy, you and the Right can't seem to tear your eyes away from the bright shiny object of terrorism in the here and now. You can't bring yourself to realize that (relative to population) right now, yes, right NOW is the most peaceful time in recorded human history. You're seeing the 24-hour news cycle - "the world's going to hell and the Muslims are spreading jihad and Sharia everywhere!!!" - without ever realizing that "right now" is but a blip in the grand sweep of history. If you'd get some real perspective, you'd see that with the exception of 9/11, terrorism today is nowhere near as bad as it has been over most of the past 150 years or so. The ONLY reason why you think it's so bad now is because unlike before, today we get reports from all over the planet in real time. Before, we might - might! - get the reports a few days after it happened.
Here's a partial list of terrorist attacks that occurred in the early 20th century. Get some perspective. Relative to population, RIGHT NOW is the most peaceful time in recorded human history. Yeah, bad things still happen, but it is flatly ignorant to run around crying that the sky is falling.
