Man contests support for child he says he didn't father

I read three sources before I posted the OP. According to some Facebook posts the guy already has two biological kids of his own born since he and his wife split. I could not find that in the stories, though, so I did not include it as a point in the OP. All I could find was that he has two other biological kids, but no mention of when they were born.

But, if that is true, shouldn't his wife have been paying child support for them? Fair is fair and gender-neutral is gender-neutral, right?

they don't let you get divorced until you have 2 years of official separation... but after that I think I paid less than $200 and the documents took a few weeks.
 
divorces can cost a little ( a couple hundred dollars) to a LOT

but it isnt the paperwork that is expensive

it is the settlement usually

that is where the big dollars come into play

alimony
child support
split of marital assets

it can cost some guys a bundle

All it takes is one vindictive party to screw it up. One person can say, "All I want is the end table. You can have literally everything else.", and the vindictive person will fight over the end table.

In that context I agree... it hit me hard to the tune of tens of thousands, just not the actual divorce.

I made the mistake of moving out in order to be a good guy and letting her have primary custody (by default)
 
Seems like a gigantic due process fraud. The only reason for the short time frame is because the government is the other side of the case in this sort of instance and they have a giant conflict of interest.

Fast forward to some clever ambulance chaser setting up a class action lawsuit.

I learned that and advise all guys now to learn from what I did wrong. I did a lot right and got parameters about things like where the girls can live and some good parenting rules into our Parenting Order though and that ended up screwing her over when she wanted to relocate across the nation. But... I still did some dumb things that bit me in the ass.
