We do not know enough to declare him a Darwin winner, at 22 he may have already fathered children.
 
This is a shame. The gator was euthanized. It was only doing what alligators do.

Those who feed the alligator hoping it will eat them last are often the first on the dinner plate.

Here in the Netherlands crooks can safely dive in water to escape police dogs, except of course for the cold which can also kill a person dead in no time.

But in the Netherlands sentences are not that harsh IMHO that a burglar would risk possible death rather than letting himself be arrested.

Well once an animal gets a taste for human blood and finds out how easy they are to take out, then it becomes habit forming for them.

They might eat an innocent person rather than a perp next time.

The wildlife biologists really had no choice but to depredate the 'gator.

Sad ending to a happy story though !!

Meh...transplant it or take it to a farm. Seems he deserves some sort of a break for doing a service to society.

I think they kind of have to put down the gator, but yeah, it still sucks.

And really, I have no sympathy whatsoever for the guy.

American gun owners have learned from history and that is why we rebuff any and all proposed new gun laws, by liberal whack jobs.
