Walked up On a Burglary: what would you do?

Nah. But you do come off as more of a fanboi than anything else when you do stuff like that.

You realize that I come from a family of first responders right?

Alot of police stations use a different phonetic alphabet than the military. It was a huge pain in the ass for me to transition from the military one that had become second nature to the police one..... Probably a good year or so.

Which makes no sense to use a different one. The military one is universal. I actually use it daily because of my job. I am on the phone reading a lot of letters and numbers.

I have to wonder which one came first.

Adam, Boy, Charles
or
Alpha, Bravo, Delta

Something tells me the one using normal english names... but thats just me.

It also isn't used universally regardless of who used it first. Like I said: I use it daily. And if you are training a bunch of military guys to be cops...why switch? I'm fairly certain even pilots use it.

If I did know that I forgot, but regardless that it makes your giddy fanboi-ism even more curious.

I was under the impression I mentioned it a lot. Oh well. Why would it make it curious that I'm in favor of law and order and not some bull**** naive idealized version of what would be anarchy?

You use it daily? What in just regular conversation?

I used to despise my fellow soldiers who OVERused the phonetic alphabet, like it was "cool" or something to go around sounding like some kinda YEARRRP.

Well I was walking my dog tonight and walking around this back area of my apartment complex. It is generally well lit, but there are areas that are not. One of these happens to be a maintenance shed. Well I walked by it so my dog could **** in her favorite day time place and I heard a loud thunk which got my hackles up. I turned and saw a guy about 15 yards away who saw me at the same time. He was hopping on a bicycle and riding off. And he had an arm full of goodies and Tried to hide his face.

He had that look of an addict. Skinny and gross. Well I'm armed as always, but I'm not getting Into it with this guy and I meandered away keeping myself in a way that I could keep eyes on him leaving. I wandered around for a few minutes out in an area in the light and went back and checked to see if I did see a burglary. The lock was busted off and it normally isn't like that.

So now. Let me ask: would you call the police right away? I don't know if I should or not. I'm probably just gonna notify management. I'm certainly smart enough to know the guy is gone now.

Observe and report to police. If this happens to anyone, they need to first think about their safety and secondly take note of the person's color, build, clothing and vehicle, if any.
