Considering the torture issue, there is some element of hypocrisy involved.

All I'm saying is that this sort if thing doesn't happen when conservatives run things.

Blue, perhaps if liberals payed more attention to reality, they would know what color the sky is.

It's really unforgivable the way that this country as a whole treats prisoners, especially minors. Our national culture is enamored of violent retribution against helpless people. It's disgusting, frankly.

I used to subscribe to REASON magazine, a libertarian site.

They have advocated for privatization of almost everything, including prisons.

How does that fit in with your charge that "liberal capitalism" is responsible for them?

I cannot remember who said it, but somebody said that one can have great insight into any given society by examining its prisons.

I love your world view... to think the Lone Star State is a bastion of anything liberal... private prisons are a direct result of the great CON game that tries to claim EVERYTHING is better if run by the private sector. :doh
