... In a statement on Sunday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest made the announcement, asserting that the issue of Palestine will be on the agenda at the meeting, “in the face of deeply troubling trends on the ground.”
The scheduled meeting would follow signing a record breaking 10-year military agreement with the regime. ...

started to use the jweb story but it ignored that Obama intends to discuss the Palestinian issue with bibi

wonder why that news source would ignore the very purpose of the meeting

probably a difficult time for Obama to piss off bibi publicly, prior to november 8, when turnout is critical

my prediction is beginning november 9 Obama will issue an Executive Order that is intended to get israel's attention

perhaps, although I suspect both Clinton and Trump would be much better to the Israelis than Obama has been.

Hard to be worse, since he has actively meddled in Israeli elections to undermine the elected prime minister and taken a whole bunch of nonsensical, one-sided destructive approaches which have allowed the PA to continue to refuse to negotiate or compromise.

I would expect Clinton to be more measured and restore the relationship to where it has been historically (which is to say a position with some criticism but much more balance and recognition of the realities Israel faces) and Trump - well who knows, but I don't see how he will be worse than Obama in his relations with Israel (at least on purpose).

So whatever Obama does as a lame duck, I would not except the Israelis to need to do much to undo the damage.

Given the close personal friendship (not) between those two, I would love to be able to watch and listen to how this goes. Bibi would be fun to watch.

If Obama issues an EO that goes against Congress, current laws, and standing treaties, then Bibi will be the least of Obama's concerns about this issue.
