Violence flares up between Israelis and Palestinians

I imagine that if moslems started holding prayer sessions at the Western Wall, there would be still further regulations implemented there.

Is the Western Wall important for Islam? Is it the holiest site? If it was, we could discuss what regulations there are. It isn't. There aren't any regulations. The Temple Mount is a site that is the holiest for Judaism and the third-holiest in Islam, it should be shared there's no doubt about it.

I beleive the full status quo would be to allow moslem custodians full discretion on which jews, christians, hindus and atheists they allow onto the site.

No, the status quo refers to the fact that since '67 - meaning since Israel entered the picture - the site is controlled by Israel and Muslims are allowed to enter and pray while people of other faiths are only allowed to enter.
Otherwise there would be no talks of the status quo if the reference was to what happened in the ~20 years of Jordanian rule in which only Muslims were allowed in.

I truly repect your contrary opinion though as you live there and are ready to accept the concequences of change at the site. In contrast, change at the site will not have an immediate impact on me.

As you wish. But you should realize that it is merely my position that we should push towards a reality where both Jews and Muslims are allowed to pray in the Temple Mount and not just the Muslims, based on the values of democracy, and not as you previously claimed the position of Israel - Israel guards and maintains the status quo and forbids Jews from praying at the site. The lies that are being told are just that, lies, meant to incite and successfully inciting the Muslim population and bringing more and more Palestinian terror attacks against innocent Jews.

At the same time, one can enjoy full freedom of religion and dress in Israel with out the need to express those freedoms at certain sites or in certain areas. Israel recognizes this by allowing Orthodox certain a degree of leeway in certain neighborhoods regarding who is, or is not allowed to easily enter wearing what type of clothing or displaying what kind of affection. If they continue to make concessions in those areas, I think they should make concessions at the Moutn where the stakes are higher.

Point is that Israel doesn't allow this, it's a violation of the law to tell others what to wear and how to behave. This is subject to constant criticism in Israeli media and society. It's not a positive thing. Just because something is happening doesn't mean it needs to keep happening.

I don't see this as a concession. Did you ever visit St. Peter's Basilica? Did you see the Vatican guards take out women and cover them up because they aren't decent enough? How is the wailing wall being a place of worship any different? Do you think you can wear a mini skirt entering Al Aqsa ?

That would surely light up the mood.

No.

I was just talking about the Israelis who actually are squatting illegally such as the guy who got stabbed on Ammunition Hill.

That guy asked for it, as does anyone else occupying an illegal settlement.

Just so we're clear on the analogy:

Israeli citizen living legally in Israel =/= illegal squatter who deserves to be stabbed

Israeli citizen living illegally on illegal settlement = illegal squatter who needs a good stabbing

"Needs a good stabbing." Sure. Your post is an excellent example of why foreign opinions have no place in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
